re: What should the nerevar look like?

they are bound to say that since they are based on "rumours" around Morrowind, they could have heard that from the word of mouth

that's like me saying to Chobi "I like Ghostofbd, he's good to talk with" that passed on around a few people could end up back to you as "shadowj don't like you, he hates talking to you" (obviously this is an example )

but don't forget half the population is dunmer so what would they believe, that Nerevar was Bosmer or Dunmer? I think they would believe their hero who was viciously killed by Dagoth Ur at the top of red mountain who was avenged by the current man-gods to be dunmer

after all the population believe what Vivec, Amalexia and Sotha-Sil told them since there are books on it and that is what the quest is about...to reveal that the man-gods are fakes and were covering up Nerevar's murder which they did themselves so they could become Man-gods...they just pinned it on the "insane and demented" Dagoth ur which ironically Nerevar trusted

edit: also to add...Vivec was originally Dunmer but because he helped kill Nerevar Azura cursed him to be half chimer and half dunmer...so Vivec gained the population's worship and made them believe that his "change" was due to being a god

re: What should the nerevar look like?

Well... i haven't played for a heck of a long time so i probly don't know squat, but my main character is a redguard with those stripes as hair. And also, if you want to know what ppl think the neravarine should look at, why not just look at their main character in the "sticky: Your Character" thread? But then again, the ppl that listed their main character may have a different opinion rather than their main character.

Well, I did ask a Nord, and they don't know anything. Good point
