On the 4th quest (I think) of the fighters guild, the one with the code book, I need help. I talked to Solltilde, and she said she didn't want to talk to me about it. I then joined thieves guild as a toad, and she brought up 3 links... Comona Tong, Fighter's Guild, and Balmora (I think) Now, I don't know what to do.

talk to Percius Mercius in Ald'Ruhn Fighters guild...he will tell you another way to get it

or leave that quest and do all thieves guild quests, you will eventually get quests from gentleman Jim Stacey, you will gain a quest which is to bribe Fire-eyes, once you done that she won't give you the code book quest...obviously you will need to do this before asking for the code book quest so I suggest doing the first option

Waaait, are you saying that if I do Fighter's Guild quests, I can't do Thieves Guild quests?... and is the first option to calk to Percius Mercius in Ald'ruhn?

You can kill her and take it. You can boost her Disposition high enough and she'll give it to you. Or you can steal it. If you kill her, you will be expelled from the Thieves Guild if you are a member. If you aren't a member, there is no problem unless you want to join the Thieves Guild. If you kill her, you'll never be allowed to join. Therefore, if you are interested in completing both the Fighters and Thieves Guild quests, talk to Percius Mercius before you kill anyone. He'll generally give you good advice on how to avoid killing anyone (until the end).

Id just try to get her disposition up, easiest way, but the first time i did it i killed her.

i just give her 300 drakes and she gives it to me easiest way i found

you have to talk to Percius first in order for the bribing to work, without talking to him first then she will just ignore you until you get mad and attack her or you talk to Percius

my advice, speak to him before doing any fighter guild quests that involve killing another guild member or stealinf from another guild

or if you prefer to go the thieves guild way then refer to my first post in this thread

yes, just make sure you don't complete the very last quest Gentleman Jim Stacey gives you (the one to kill Sjorn Heard-heart)

when you get that quest, go and do the fighter guild quests...then when you come to the last quest of the fighters guild (to kill Gentleman Jim Stacey and the thieves guild councilors)...kill Heard-heart and you will automatically become guildmaster of the fighters, return to Jim and he will make you guildmaster of the thieves

one time i killed sjorn and told stacy about it but i didnt ask for more duties (when he gives you control of the guild) i left and came back and he was gone... is there still a way for me to take over the guild?

nope once he is gone that is it...if you become guildmaster of a guild before completing all quests then you can't go back and finish those quests....that is why it is important that you finish all the quests before finally becoming guildmaster
