Although I do prefer ATB because it makes the battle a bit more rushed. -------------------

	I liked FFX's turn based battles so much because the boss fights we're so hard most of the time and require thinking slowly and getting everything in place so you can kill it quickly without being raped by his omgwtfhax ultimate.

	Gosh, It's been a while. well, I've seen both trailers and versus does look better. It feels more like FFVII, the original version. Just seeing the characters and bits of the world reminds me of FFVII. That scene with the people at the conference table really got my mind to instantly flash to when Cloud is creeping around Shinra's air conditioning system. Well, I don't know the story, but just judging by trailers alone, it looks like regular 13 will be worse than XII-which was so bad I actually lost interest before I finished, whereas the versus trailer looked way better, and I know companies can lie really well if they edit a trailer right. Still, as for the "dark" thing well, Cloud and Squall were dark, mysterious and handsome, but what's wrong with dark, mysterious, nice, smart, but inwardly frustrated, secretly longing for human contact guys that just happen to be able to kick your ass if you mess with them or their comrads/ female interests? From a girl's prosepective, it helps if the main character's attractive! xD I'm playing Dissidia right now, and I'm totally addicted, so, yeah Square can still make fun games (Though I must confess I'm mainly playing with Zidane, an Amano character (what can I say, that pic of Zidane (done in Amano's more serious style) with Dagger makes him look cool. And what can I say it's always been my childhood fantasy to have a tail...) I'm also a huge Amano fan. I don't have a PS3, so I won't be able to play this versus one. The system's way to expensive and not too many good RPGs. I've got a 360, so maybe I'll give regular 13 a whirl, but I'm not wasting money on it, if I can get it used, but I'm expecting that regular 13 will be very good at all, not to be overly judgemental. Wow, I write too much...I wonder if you're even reading this whole thing... I've been an FF fan ever since I first played one...FFX! Now there was a game with a good story, cultural identity and deep history, not to mention religious conflict, and easy as hell battle system. Sure Tidus was a bit of a crybaby, but jeez, he's still just a kid who's been through a lot of personal wierdness X was so much better than XII, it's unbelievable. Even X-2, which was pretty dumb was better, and that's sayin' alot, considering (or is it just that I like Gippal?) I sold that one, but for some reason, it's making me feel nostalgic, being nearly 24 and all. I've played nearly all of the main stories. most of VI, Both versions of IV, VII, VIII, IX, X, and most of XII as well as X-2, Crystal Chronicals (was this one worse than XII?, it's hard to tell.) Square's made some mistakes, and strayed off the path, but I think they've still got it in them to reel off one more good Final Fantasy, they've just got to do it in the best traditions, and they'll do ok. 	Jesus Christ that was alot to read. Well the PS3 Slim has been released recently so you should check up on that since it has a price drop to boot quote it looks like regular 13 will be worse than XII Did you make a mistake or do you honestly think FF13 will be worse than FF12? FF13 hasnt been released yet so I dont know how you could make that assumption. 	I don't know if I'd go as far as to say Versus XIII will be that much better than XIII, after all, Versus is going to be more action orientated and XIII more RPG focused. However I am looking forward to Versus more than I am XIII, but that's personal preference. I just wish Square would release more info, or some new trailers to get us drooling over Versus again; let's face it, those trailers looked awesome, especially when watching them for the first time. quote Angelus Versus does indeed LOOK better but I am going to stick with FF13 for the time being. 	Graphics alone do not make a game better, and the full detail on story is unknown so it is hard for me to say which one would be better. The only thing that any game, not just the FF series has going for it, is the Storyline, and if the story line is good, I'm generally accepting of the gameplay. Ofcourse there are some instances where that's not the case, such as GTAIV, to whose story I just could not get into becuase the Gameplay was just not to my liking... FFXII on the other hand, I loved the Gameplay, but I just didn't like the story enough to continue playing with the characters. As far as the characters in both this game and FFXIII go, they seem to be more well-defined than that of FFXII, and so for me, overall, I'm equally interested in both of the games. An example of what I mean, is that it seems that the story revolves around Noctis, who by all means is the prince, and in FFXIII it revolves around Lightning, whose actually making a difference. In comparison FFXII's main character was Vaan, who had little to do with anything, and was just tagging a long for the ride, simply because his brother had died (and things like that)... Again, FFX was to do with Tidus, and he was very much involved and at the center of the story, along side Yuna. So in my eyes, FFXIII and FFvsXIII are looking to be better than FFXII storywise, but only time will tell... I make no comments about the darkness of the games, since I don't really care about that.. _{Krunal as much as I DO NOT like FF12 as a whole, that clearly wasn't the story. 10%(in the beginning) was Vaan trying to become a sky pirate and joining Balthier and Fran due to being sky pirates. He was far from tagging along, in fact I think he lived his dream; However, Penelo was the only one who tagged along cause her friend Vaan was off to be a sky pirate. It's just they got dragged into some political bore plot that had to do with Ashe and Basch cause Ashe's boytoy got killed and she wanted revenge and shit. Besides Vaan talking and looking like a fag, no offense, the entire cast, besides Fran and Balthier sucked. No, but the pretty faces and voices fooled many people (including myself, sadly) into thinking that the story was the best thing ever. Of course, we know that this is not the case. 	Well, the political twist was much needed in a Final Fantasy game instead of the "the world is coming to an end, save it hero!" It was just poorly done and the characters were very forgettable. -------------------

	There are more and less relevant meanings to the word "realistic" in gaming. Going on about its not realistic anyway since fantasy is just ludicrous. Realism in this context relates to do if things play out realisticly to the setting, powers, etc. given. Many feel (me included) that turn based gaming feels more unrealistic than real time gaming (where you generally can pause the game and give commands to the various combatants.) This critique is valid but in itself it does of course not deicide if a game is good or not. Personally I'm a gameplay kind of person. Gameplay itself must be entertaining if I'm to spend hundreds of hours on it. FFX had a very interesting story but I found gameplay lacking, in the end I only finished because I wanted to follow the story. FFX-2 is still unfinished since the story just was not good enough to back up the tedious gameplay. FFXII which in many respects is quite lacking to earlier FF games is still the best and by far most played simply because of a fantastic gameplay experience. More on topic, from what I seen of FFXIII I'm getting a feeling that while it's in real time it still feels more like traditional FF games in concept. More deep JRPG with awesome story than gaming fun. I still haven't seen anything of FFXIIIvs but action oriented RPG's tend to focus more on gameplay itself and that's why I think FFXIIIvs will be the better game at least for me. Anyhow I will buy both on release day anyway.

	The previews of Versus do look more interesting than FF13, however, I don't really like the fact that the main character is a prince. I've never seen a sucessful fantasy story with a prince as the main character. I think I'm in the minority because I don't like action fighting in RPG, if I wanted that, I would just play an action game. I don't like the fact that RPG games are having so much focus on the action fighting because it usually takes away from the story line. Kingdom Hearts was a good game. It was in no way, "epic", but it was fun which is more than I can say for alot of the RPG games that come out now. Kingdom Hearts was popular because you got to see your favorite characters from final fantasy AND your childhood Disney favorites all in one.

	Well the only difference I see in an Action/RPG from a regular RPG is that the game is shorter. Other than that they're pretty similar... to me anyways.
