Lu Bu has been a real pain since DW3 Unfortunately it was Dong Zhuo that got me. But it wasn't really a fair fight since I was trying to kill Lu Bu and the area was kind of crowded. Couldn't really tell who I was hitting and who was hitting me. So much for Zhao Yun, and he had such pretty spear skills.

Haha BK, that's exactly what I did. I was like, WTF is this crap? But then I played Guan Yu and Zhou Yu, and it was a lot more fun. The fighting is definitely more fluid.

Not for people who actually figure out his unstoppable combo. It's SS, roll cancel, Musou/Repeat. Though, once you get a good statted Blue Technique/Speed type weapon, you won't need to rely on this and his entire moveset becomes very powerful. Oh, and his full T String is VERY effective as well.

Xiahou Dun is AWFUL. I've been playing as him all day and thought the game sucked. However, plaign as everyone else is tons of fun. It's a much better game. You need to utilize grapples, rolls, juggling, everything. Its great

Perhaps a bit on lower difficulties, but Chaos Mode pretty much forces you to not fight fairly, and roll cancelling out of the slower, less powerful attacks into other moves definitely will save your life there. That applies to all characters, too.

Xiahou Dun is one of my favorites now, actually. As I said, once you get a goods blue weapon with Issen, True Musou, Vacuum Wave, etc.(Don't know what they call the skills in the English version), he really becomes unstoppable without using the combo on anything below Chaos.

EDIT: I say just use the one you like the best. All of the characters available at the beginning are very good, save maybe Guan Yu and Lu Xun. I'd reccomend NOT starting as Zhou Yu, Xiahou Dun, or Zhao Yun, though, because they have Hulao as their first level and will most likely get destroyed by Lu Bu, who will follow you until one of you are dead.(Most likely the player)

Wu - the faster character are better. I'd say start with Lu Xun to get a feel for the game

Just got the game after school and been playin it... OVerall very good game.

So much more realistic, better gameplay, when you get into a fight with certain officers, the soldiers make a circle around you and watch the fight. I never knew they were doing that in this game.

The cutscenes really focus on the player you are using... Every cutscene I have seen so far centers around the character Im playing as. That is something Koei really needed to do better at, and I think they succeeded.

The only CONS I really have about this game is that I constantly feel too rushed. I have to save this guy, that guy, and Liu Bei dies way to easily as your Commander. My other CON is the lack of different triangle combos, so far as Zhao Yun, I have only used two. I like what they did with the normal attacks, but no matter when I press triangle is does the same combo.

It is a challenging game though this time around in my opinion. very first battle has a tough Lu Bu in it.

Yeah, to everyone, I'd suggest playing as a character that doesn't start off at Huo Lao Gate... super annoying

I ran by Lu Bu and killed Dong Zhou easily tho... so it matters just don't fight Lu Bu or Zhang Fei at Chang Ban...

this would be my second run through the game(played Jap)

ive been doing good so far since(i avoided all scenes with Lu Bu)

Voice overs arn't as disapointing as i thought they'd be.

*Note: when playing hu lao gate, protect your engineers, and ladder carriers...after dat just storm the castle and kill dong zhou ASAP cuz the moment Lu Bu notices ur trying to kill his boss, he will come after you....

then again, im pretty sure most of you guys witnessed this first handed
