Liu Chan would have relied heavily on his advisors, but the Cao family wouldnt have been my pick for emporer, and the Sima family was probably worse...

I'd say Shu, i, too agree with the reason that they fought, and their officers were all very moral and loyal. And had Shu if won the battle against Wei at the Wu Zhang Plains, Jiang Wei would rule, would he not? And if he did then he would've been a worthy ruler. He reminds me very much of Zhao Yun, just smarter.
