During a fight how do you change the song to yours? I see my enemy do it sometimes. Does it give you any bonus?

I have xbox but I hold LT and rotate the left analog stick until the character switches hands and rotate the right.

i have it 4 ps3 u hold down L2 and rotate the left analog stick twice, and than rotate the right analog stick twice.
