I finally mastered how to play online.

Everytime i buy a new FPS i always suck at online when i first start playing, no matter what. After about week or so of playing on and off, i have finally mastered being good. Got my first 1st place with 10 point lead to second.

Now you're probably thinking i'm a real noob, and i probably am at this game, but now i know that i can finally have fun without sucking at it.

Anyone else have this?

Your use of the term 'mastered' puzzles me.

Yeh that's what i meant Number 1 in the world.

Mastered is too strong a word, but i have go to the point where i can fully enjoy the online play without suckin' ass.

i've had this too, thats why i normally like to start off playing unranked matche son games like battlefield bad company, but i didn't move onto ranked so i guess it's good cos it's forcing me to go hmm i gotta do better also at first it started a bit slow but most games do online until you get used to it but ye i know what you mean

I can never get the hang of FPSs online. My reaction time is nearly flawless in so many other things, but when it comes to this, headshots are nigh impossible for me in heated situations.

Yeah I had this in CoD2 and CoD4 just starting to get good at Killzone with the kills to death I went 23-0 today Of course I camped a lot but oh well Still haven't been able to beat my all time record of 61-1 in CoD2

Yeah I always suck when I first go online no matter what game it is. I was appauling in COD4 for a while before I started to learn the tactics. Now I'm always in the Top 3 of a COD4 match.
Killzone 2 is taking it's time to grow on me. I still suck and get lost and run the wrong way or shoot someones foot instead of his head etc etc.

I don't love online just yet so I might never have the patience to get as good as I have become in COD4.

Thing is, I've got a shite KDR, but generally finish top 5/6 in-game cos I just go for points and will always be one of the frontrunners in S&D (having dropped the spawn grenade) and so my stats'll say I'm doing shite, but I reckon as the kind of team player I'm starting to get quite good. Certainly not mastering though, probably never will.

I'm not that great either in this game at headshots. I usually crouch and aim at the torso. Either way instead of relying on full frontal attacks, use your brain more and turn down your sensitivity.

I know exactly what you mean. At first i didn't know what the *bleep* was going on, didn't know where to go with each map, couldn't keep track of each game mode. And then, when i had a really good solid session online, i eventually came 1st in a game. That was when i realised i was getting used to the game.
