if you cannot play online, can you unlock any of the other classes?

also, if you unlock the classes, either on or off-line, can you continue to use them while offline?

I can confirm that when you unlock classes online you can use them offline. I don't know if it works the other way around.

It's a real irritation for people like me who can't easily connect their PS3 to the PSN (My PS3 is about 20/30 feet away from me, at the computer, the router and the only internet access in the house), so all I get is a standard grunt with an assault rifle.

On top of that, I'm sick of having to play through all game types in one map, when I only have one particular gaming itch, such as to see the corpses of my enemies piled high on top of each other in a glorious flaming heap... But I have to take the propaganda speaker to the dropzone instead. Not cool.

AND I can't even humiliate my brother in a match because there's no split-screen function. Granted, I wouldn't be able to see much because we've got a regular old CRT TV that we have to sit close to to see stuff properly in GTA4 and KZ2, But we've got an extra controller that's gathering dust because of the lack of multiplayer options.

Other than my social gaming side being horribly, horribly crippled, I'm having a lot of fun with KZ2.
