RE1-RE3- White people
RE4- Spanish people
RE5- Mainly black, with a few white/Spanish/Asians.

They wanted RE to stretch to all of the continents. North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Antartica were all used, so that leaves Africa and Asutralia. Dunno if they used Aussie or not.

But so much went down in Africa, a lot of it actually explains some of the viruses and how they were created.

But really though, I don't find the game racist. If the game is in Africa, of course you're going to kill African people. It's common logic. The only thing I found kinda racist was the white blonde girl being dragged away and looking like rape.

In my opinion, harming African Americans, or anyone of any race for that matter if they try to kill you first isn't racist. Now, if they were bystanders that Chris randomly shot while going on his mission, THAT would be racist. But then it wouldn't be Resident Evil, it would be one massively *bleep*ed up game.

The game is not racist, its just political correctness gone made yet again.

Im pretty sure when the guys made this game they werent intending for people to actually be offended by the who you were shooting colour/race/skin. They just wanted to make a Resident Evil game and people read too much into.

I'm African american, I play this game constantly and have yet to hear or see anything racist in the game. I can see how it could be enjoyed by someone who is. If I hated people of color RE5 would be the perfect game to buy. If RE was always about whites killing blacks or any other ethnic group I could understand the racist accusations. But we have what I believe to be a black female ("Thanks Patna!"), and what appears to be a white male killing blacks, whites and latins. Granted they are killing predominatly blacks, some in tribal gear and stealing thier resources to buy weapons. But it is just a game with a weak plot. Some have said that they can hear the majini yelling "koolaid!". I haven't heard it. I don't even try to make out what the kuff they are saying, it does'nt matter. The only place I see some imbalance is in verses mode. I feel that Josh had a big enough role to be added as a playable character in verses and mercs. And maybe if Josh had been added as a playable charachter there wouldn't be so much complaining about racism.

Why should Josh get special treatment?

However it would be interesting to see the new RE set somewhere in the middle east perhaps in Israel/Palestine region. Would be cool imo. Mabe the Arab Zombies and Jewish Zombies are at constant battle with each other and your right in the middle of all of it. I'd love that.

Before the thread is closed I want to add something.
There are around 15 Resident Evil games, if not more, if you include spin-offs. Only two games used a race other than white people that you had to kill, and they were RE4 and RE5, and there were also white people in both of those games as well. In all the other 10-12 video games that had you kill mainly white people, no one shouted "RACISTS!!!" in the game stores. No one ever said that Resident Evil is racist since they believe that only white people could be evil zombies that want to kill you. No one created hundreds of forums or web pages that really complained about RE being Racists since you kill white people on there.
That about sums up my opinion. Most posts on here are from people who think this game isnt racist. Besides, this game is NOT real. You're not really killing anyone. It's just a game.
