hey guys, every time i try to get the trophy "why do you trust?" i never can get it to work, Ive tried looking up vids and walkthroughs and i complete everything it says to do but I still get nothing! Ive tried letting my partner heal me and saying thanks, giving ammo saying thanks, and just saying thanks in general many times.

Am I missing something?

You gotta keep trying, coz you're doing it right.

Did you activate that option at the start of the game?
It has something to do with giving you the choice of being able to hurt your partner....something like that.

You are talking about Partner Reaction. But no, you don't need to turn Partner Reaction on to get that trophy. I've never hosted or joined a game with PR on and I got that trophy long time ago. Just keep doing what you are doing. It'll just take some time.

I always thought the partner reaction had to be switched on.....looks like I learned something today ...lol...

Yeah I don't understand why they would even include that in the main game. That's what Versus is for.

Like others have said, you're doing it right. Just have the AI save you a bunch of times from dying status and thank them each time, you'll get that trophy quick-smart.

In order to unlock the "Who Do You Trust" trophy it's not just a matter of saying "Thanks" everytime your partner heals or saves you. The clue is in the name - building up a trust between the both of you.

So, in order to unlock this trophy, you must use ALL of the responses. (CIRCLE) and Cover Me response, (CIRCLE) and Attack response and the (CIRCLE) Go default response. This way, you are communicating with your partner, which helps build up the trust.

Also, you need to return the favours your partner does for you. Help your partner when HELP is displayed, heal your partner when your partner's health is low and save your partner when DYING is displayed. And if your partner says "I need ammo" respond by giving your partner the ammo as requested.

Of course, press CIRCLE when your partner does any of the above for you to thank your partner but you must use all these responses in order to build the trust between you both. Just pay attention to your partner and respond to your partner's needs in order to unlock the trophy. That's all it is

Dunno what exactly you need to do, but i got it on my first run through quite quick.

I achieved Who Do You Trust by chapter 3-1 in the marshlands. I just kept Sheva Healthy, let her pick up every treasure/money, gave her ammo and thanked her everytime she did something for me. I didn't take anything from her inventory (no guns no ammo or health)and I had the trophy by 3-1.

I just kept letting him pick things up and thanking him when he did something. I think you need at least one of the nice-shot things (which can be said when they get a head shot) so just give your partner (be it Chris or Sheva) a magnum and head to the Axecutioner level; he or she will eventually pull a headshot and just press circle then.

I finally got it last night when I just kept infinite rocket launching the floor and thanking him when he healed/resucitated me. Just give your partner nothing but healing items and give yourself nothing but healing items and infinite rocket launcher (if you don't have it then 'nades work too; I assume the grenade launcher should as well but I'm not sure) and keep killing yourself (well, to the point where you need be saved) and thanking the partner when they heal you. When they run out, give them yours. and keep going 'til you get it, then do it until you die and then don't save it and it hasn't cost you anything either.

I'm pretty sure you need other things as well beforehand, but if you've tried it as much as you say this should work for you.
