ok im seeing these blue balls with lights in them which blow up when shot but once it gave me health..just wondering what they are and also wether shooting em is right?

This is in campaign right? There power cells, basically explosives which detonate shortly after shot. It probably didn't give you health you probably just walked over some health pickups when it exploded
