The Ending |
|
Finally got round to playing this game and I regret not picking it up earlier. It's easily one of the best shooters available and the story deserves a lot more credit than what people give it.
I just completed the story earlier and while I was overly impressed with what I seen, I was a little disappointed that there didn't happen to be an actual boss fight. I understand that in the sequel there will be huge *bleep*ing monsters this time but the last level just wasn't much of a challenge than what I was expecting. And can anyone explain the deal with the final cutscene where Hale is drifting through the woods, and the dropship lands with soldiers swarming him. Why did he have the grenade in his hand? Where they British troops (or SAS)? Was he becoming one of the Chimera himself? ------------------- ![]() Is it bright where you are, have the people changed? Personally speaking, I didn't mind the lack of 'boss fights' since they always made up for it one way or another with massive 'fights'. As for story goes, I was just playing the game on co-op with a friend and he agreed with me that the story was quite amazing.
As for the last cut-scene, he's basically taken by these special forces known as (I believe) Cloven. They are basically like him, they werent effected by the Chimera Virus, and are effectively 'super soldiers'. More will be revealed about them and where Hale was taken in Resistance 2. ------------------- ![]() | |

Ah yes, the Cloven. I picked up some Intel on them but I just paced through most of the game not paying much attention to some of the more influential cutscenes. They definitely shaped it up to be a great sequel.

Those guys, known as 'Black Ops', are actually Sentinels. They pick Hale up and Hale becomes one of them in R2. Like Krunal said, they are immune to the Chimeran virus.
