Has anyone had any particular problem with the map flicking on and off during online gameplay? It's chronic whenever I play on Somerset, which is a pity, considering the majority of CTF matches are there, though it's started to happen on the Bus Stop as well. Does anyone knows what causes this and/or how to eliminate it? It doesn't seem to be my controller, and I can't think of anything else which would effect it.

I know this might sound a bit daft, but are you always keeping your controller level, because if you tilt it to the left, then it brings up the map.

Is there a way I can get rid of it though? I usually lie on my side when I play a game, and holding the controller level's just extra hassle.

On the main Online menu, where you can choose from "Ranked Games," "Custom Games," etc, go to Options, then Controls, and then change Tilt Controls to "Off." Should solve it for you.

Huh? I don't remember that...by the way, if you turn the tilt function off, how exactly are you gonna shake off the fire/bullseye beacon/arc?

theres a way to shake off stuff without the tilt function.. its by alternating 2 buttons.. cant remember which 2 though :/

Yes, you can. When you are tagged, arced, or on fire you can shake the controller and the status will go away.
