In quite a few games now, I have been subjected to, for lack of a better word, arseholes, who not only constantly shoot at you, but also, if you attempt to use a rocket, launch an Auger shell in front of you so you commit suicide.

Is this the latest form of team killing?

In my opinion, it's *bleep*ing pathetic, and spoils a game. Why play a team game and then *bleep* your team over?

I know a few people have openly admitted to these scummy tactics on here, so I ask.

People often kill others who use rockets because it's cheap

I think it has something to do with the fact that I NEVER play a game where Friendly Fire is turned off, because I know a lot of people that f-up their team mates, even if their team mates made a mistake. Then because they f'd him up on purpose, the guy that origionally made the mistake goes back for revenge and it escalates to the point where your killing your own team members. FFS, just play non-teamed games if you want to just kill someone, why in the world would you kill your team mates and get your "games lost" count to increase???

I can now see where your coming from, I just thought you meant the opposing team killed you... which is usually always the deal in my case, since I never get killed by team mates and only occassionaly by myself.

Here's my advice - Play Ranked Games. I must say, Ranked is far more fun than unranked.

Lol thing is most of the games I play, it's turned off. I've only experienced a handful of games with it off and it was just pathetic.

But yeah, it's a way that people can continue to be annoying and essentially kill a team mate, although it's actually worse as you lose points for committing suicide.

I've gotten into ranked games more and more, but now and again I just prefer chilling out and having a laugh in a larger game.

I think people are missing the point of this topic...

I'm not asking what to do, as I'm aware of that.

I'm asking WHY they do it. What satisfaction do people get out of it?

Wow, you guys totally missed the point of this thread !! He is playing ranked, friendly fire does not have to be on for your team mates to "kill" you. They just tend to do annoying things like shoot barrels/cars when your nearby, run in front of you when you shoot a laark or 40 which bounces back and makes you commit suicide...etc etc

But I dunno why they do it, they must get some weird enjoyment of out it. They may be bored of playing the game, and are looking at new ways to make it fun again.

Another thing that annoys me, is when your team explodes a barrel or a car when your near, for the sole purpose of killing you.

Oh, that reminds me of this one awesome time.
The guy with the flag ran past me, and was a like a few feet from our base (about to score, obviously).
I was bored, so i shot at a barrel as he ran past it, and it killed him like seconds before he could have got a flag in (the guy behind him scored for us).
I was pissing myself afterward..

I kill my teammates in games all the time when they spam rockets and grenades everywhere.

I'll shoot an auger shield in front of them right before they shoot a LAARK so they blow themselves up, or jump in front of their grenade so that it comes back at them. I also trap people in corners by standing in front of them, flash a flashlight on teammates when they're hiding in the dark with a shotgun near a doorway in a one-hit-kill game(very cheap thing to do), or blow barrels/cars up near teammates and many other things.

I can see why you'd think that those are total dick things to do, but, the way I see it is.....What ruins the game more, people using cheapass ways to get kills, or me trying to prevent others from using cheapass ways to get kills?

I don't do these things to anyone that plays fairly unless I'm really bored, or if I'm having a day and just can't do well in the game. I usually just mess with people in these and other ways if I think that they're doing totally cheap strategies to get a lot of kills.

I get cussed out a lot for it. But, to anyone who uses cheap strategies to get kills, and then complains when their team messes with them, you need to learn to play the game right, then you can get pissed off when people mess with you. I'm not singling anyone on here out, I'm just saying that I think we should play the game fairly.

People causing team kills.

There is no such things as a cheap kill. Just because someone chooses to use a rocket launcher doesn't mean you should set out to ruin their game, nor does finding a decent hiding space. Hell, the latter is a skill for snipers to use.

You just contradicted yourself so bad there. What you claim to do is not playing the game fairly at all, it's spoiling it. Cheap kill to me, is glitching to kill somebody, as used to happen on the U.S.S Lexington level. Using rockets or finding a dark spot to snipe is not a cheap way to kill someone.

I completly agree with djedwardsmith, if that person has the brains to use the strongest weapon inthe game and you don't thats your problem. If someone has the sense to attack from behind and you don't thats your problem.
