I hope that when you fire a gun, the Wiimote will vibrate MASSIVELY, and make the noise on the Wiimote's controller, not on my Home Theater system's speakers.

quote guticbExactly. Ubisoft will use the Wiimote's speaker for gun shots, sword slashes, and much more. -------------------

Supposedly... They haven't revealed enough info yet for us to be positive about anything except the sword slashes.
I've got my hopes pretty high for this game right now. I just hope Ubisoft doesn't waste all this potential though.... -------------------

The Glock's noise didn't really make a big sound. You might be able to expect a lot with, oh I dunno, a magnum or a shotgun?

i think they are going to make the sounds loud and soft accordingly Jaw. it would be very realistic, because the sounds effect the vibration of the controller as well... so if you fire a bazooka (you know, if there is one in this game) it would be very... VERY loud and the wiimote would shake... a lot.

Yeah, to simulate more recoil. After all, they ARE trying to make the game as realistic as possible, which is why they scrapped the Wiimote/Katana mapping.

hmmm... they are trying to make it as realistic as possible without blood... interesting...
but still, they are trying to stay as realistic as they can without making too adult oriented. although there are plenty of kid games available already... -------------------

re: Controls |
quote guticbI see no point in this "recoil". The wii controller can't get no where near as much recoil as an actual weapon. You fire a bazooka and the gun will vibrate for a while? Wtf. It would be one big recoil blast not some prolonged vibration so I don't think this necessary. However I don't think they'll have a bazooka in this game. -------------------

re: Controls |

Probably not, but it was proving a point that the wiimote would have to shake more violently and sound louder to get a more realistic effect. However, i don't think it would just vibrate for longer, i think it would vibrate more violently.

Since the remote is wireless it'g gonna need like a battery or at least a rechargable one right? If that's the case lot's of sound and vibrationa are gonna eat up the battery like a bitch.

Dude, that would be stupid. I know they have a motion sensor and a mild rumbling, and they should keep it at that. Imagine little kids playing this game? They wouldn't be able to control it possibly and they could drop the controller and break it. Not a good idea.

quote MJ12 L0rDBreak it? Only of the floor was made of lava. The controls aren't gonna be ceramic tiles for god sake. I'm pretty sure they'll be fairly durable considering how much people will interact with them. -------------------

I know, I know, but still. Not one drop is going to break it, but MANY drops. And violent shaking will cause MANY drops. It will be durable, but only for so long, if you get what I mean.

But still, MJ has a point. you don't want someone to not be able to handle the vibration. i think the speaker in the wiimote will suffice for now.
