That's more or less what many of them look like. Wait for an opening and then pounce on it.

Of course then there's the younger ones who make their openings...

Guns and swords won't really work all that well together in a multi-player match for reasons that have already been said.

The one way this could work is if the swords men had more health and were a little faster.
Yeah, the swordsmen need a HUGE advantage if it's gonna be a fair match with guns VS swords.


I would understand Guns only and swords only battles, but battles with Guns AND swords would turn out disastrous for Ubisoft, because the game would get some horrible reviews from the people obsessed with great online play.

In the trailer, when you fight the guy via swords, he is able to dodge out of the bullets way. Perhaps this is only an ability given to those with swords out.

I don't know. It's the only thing I could think of to make them even.

I have not but who ever said that this would turn intoa nice honorable kendo match? I can guarantee you that 90% of gamers would be out there to win and even that means using somewhat cheap tactics like jumping, strafing and making mad slashes.

The feature IMO is very cool and gives the game a sort of "Matrix like" feel to it. But on the down side, it's hardly realistic and I would prefer to become such a skilled shooter that I could actually shoot like that in real time rather than have a computer do it for me.

Hhaha yeh Theory of Chaos has a good point here guys.But didn't Ubi_Soft claim that they were making this title as realstic as possible?

That's exactly what I'm saying. If games were realistic, they woudn't be fun. However, I like the game to have as many realistic features as it can excluding the game play. Being shot once and dieing isn't much fun after the fourth time.

It isn't a problem at all as long as you have auto save and have it quite often like they did in Call of Duty. You just play that game on the hardest difficulty and as soon as you died, you wouldn't be far off from where you died because of auto saves which is good. I wonder if Red Steel has this.
