It is. It really depends on if you can forgive the shortcomings our not, many reviewers said that. IGN gave it a 6.0, but said that if you can forgive it's few(but for some, fatal) shortcomings, you can really enjoy it. And I'm guessing that IGN UK did. 8.0 is actually pretty high.

I am surprised that it got as good of a rating as it did. Especially from IGN. Usually games like this don't score very high. But it does use new game tech, so maybe that's what pulled the ratings up.

I don't care what anyone says about this game anymore. In my opinion, Red Steel is kick ass. I have almost no problems with the controls at all.

I don't agree with the voice acting part. I think they could have done more there.
But the controls are very good now. They do take some geting used to, but overall they are much better than I anticipated. -------------------

At times the voice acting could use a little more work, but there is nothing to really complain about.
