This is a bit of a dirty tactic but if you're not on a mission and aren't doing anything important such as collecting pigeons and you end up dying, just reload your last autosave instead of letting the hospital patch you up and losing nearly $1000.

No, achievements are locked to your profile rather than your save game.

Thanks guys, that makes it a lot easier to get some of the achievements without having to worry about escaping afterwards.

That certainy is a good idea, Ive spent more on hospitol bills than I currently have, before the bank robbery that is.

I haven't died yet in the game, nor in any missions. When I feel like dying, I'll save my game, and then start killing the shit out of people, but not save the game.

But yeah, not dying too much throughout the story mode, makes it a lot easier to get the Half Million Achievement, if your aiming for it.

Also avoid getting busted like the plague. I haven't been busted yet but my friend has and he spent just about all of his money buying back his weapons.
