Early in the game I neglected Little Jacob as I thought friends meant basically nothing and wanted to do missions instead of a pointless trip to a bar.
Now I'm going for achievements I want to get like up with him, but each time I take him out it only seems to go up by like 2% and it is currently at roughly 54%. Is there a better/faster way to get it up?

Not really, but if you do a mission with a friend, for example "Three Leaf Clover" with Packie, their like for you goes up faster - I think.

Well I've completed the game, however, do the jobs you do for Little Jacob count toward that?

I haven't done many, but I would have thought they do increase the like stat slightly faster.
As long as you go out with him any time he calls you up, then by the time you've finished the story his like should be around the 90+ mark.

Sometimes you can do up to 3 activities at a time before taking them back home. Do this. I took Jacob to Pool, Darts, and then the Strip club before taking him back home and my percentage went up a ton.


Basicly, anywhere you see a yellow arrow, stop in and let it activate. Restaurants are the fastest so hit those every time but make sure to switch them up.

Drinking is probably the most time consuming, since it takes forever for the buzz to wear off and its hard to move and the taxis pretty much ignore you when you scream at them.

I'm on the mcreary missions and I have just got the special ability with jacob, i did about 3 jobs for him

That's weird, I took jacob to cluckin' bell once and it went up to like 80% and I got his weapon selling ability thing..

Yeah same, I went up like 10% with him there.

Another trick I learned with the friends is to agree to make plans with them whenever they call you. Then, if you don't have the time or desire to go meet them, just activate your cell phone, go to phonebook, then their name, and click on cancel plans. this way you can stay even with them. I believe the game starts you out with new friends at around 60% by default. So just do what I said, and at least you won't lose "like" with them.

Just REMEMBER to cancel the plans before the in-game hour has elapsed or you will lose a ton off your percentage.
