re: [ Spoilers ] Which was a better choice, Deal or Revenge |
quote Tiki PenguinOkay, you chose "Deal". Here's what you need to do: First off, I have to tell you that the HARDEST part of the mission is BEHIND you, so take heart in that. The key is to get to the boat as FAST as possible and go straight south. Ignore the rockets Dimitry shoots at you, and ONLY dodge if you see one coming right at you. They should all miss. Honestly, there is no trick here. Head straight at the red radar dot at all time and at full speed. If you have the skills to have gotten this far, I can't even begin to imagine how you are getting stuck on the boat chase part, unless you are either letting off the accelerator or veering off when Dimitry shoots at you. As you pass the two rock islands in the water, stay to the left just a little. Jacob will join your chase and start shooting at Dimitri. You should then see Jacob hovering lower and then a little yellow mission arrow which you drive into. Oh and related, I discovered a few tips while playing the mission several times. In case you missed it while in the warehouse, there is a HEALTH pack right before you come outside onto the roof to chase Dimitri. YOu have to jump the wrong way to the right, instead of going left toward the roof. What I would do if I were you is leave the health pack for now. Go out on the roof, killing off ALL the rooftop enemies, letting them chew away at what health you have. Then, go back inside, wind to your right and jump off the broken wooden steps and snag the health. If you get it too early, you will lose some outside. I told you all this because if you miss it completely and have to fight Dimitry, his thugs AND the cops later on on Liberty, you may have a problem. It would suck to go through ALL that only to fail because you don't have enough health. Oh, and one more thing that may help if you need it: When you first land on Liberty Island, you will be in the middle of a firefight, and will take some damage. You may want to replenish your health, but chances are that you, the cops and Dimitri's thugs will have scared off the hot dog vendor who is right there where you disembark the wrecked Anihilator. If you are chasing Dimitry around the Statue of Liberty, wind around counterclockwise on the grass, to get away from the cops. Right before you face off against him, there will be another vendor you can buy food from, just before the last little corner. Since Dimitry seems to have health that withstands a great deal of your fire, you may want to spend 20 seconds buying food from him. ------------------- ![]() It's official. Dimitri actually goes down quite easily once you get right under the Statue of Happiness. If you shoot at him before that it is possible to kill him, but like Chiro said, it is very difficult. ------------------- ![]() "Nothing is a cliche when it's happening to you".

quote Blind SniperNot if you have a Desert Eagle you don't. I had. First time I let him live, second time I had the Deagle. Also don't worry about the reports. I just put a spoiler warning in the thread title. -------------------

Shane, what do you mean by your Desert Eagle comment? I had a Desert Eagle, and got an execution scene of Niko shooting him about ten times. He gurgled "thank you" before then final shot too. Best. Execution. Ever. ------------------- ![]() "Nothing is a cliche when it's happening to you".

Same for me. I spared him my 1st time through on the PS3 and killed him on the 360, and I was treated to one awesome display even with the Desert Eagle. ------------------- ![]() It's official. I have truly become a babysitter on Neo. Redemption, I want my $7.00 an hour!

Tiki, it's all about keeping your finger down on the right trigger. I found some obstacles whilst chasing Dimitri, such as that stupid low dock that...even though it gives you a nice jump, greatly reduces your speed. That dock is on the left side after the two rocks. Just avoid any obstacles like those and you'll be fine. ------------------- -Team Bunny-

Maybe it's because I have auto aim turned off then, because I didn't get any execution scenes. Probably just coincidence that I happened to have the Deagle after I turned Auto aim off -------------------

quote ShaneYou can get executions even with auto aim off, but you have to be positioned just right in front of them. Why turn it off anyway? Just hold the trigger halfway down (you have to practically bury it for the auto aim to kick in). ------------------- ![]() "Nothing is a cliche when it's happening to you".

quote Shane There should also be a red ring inside your targeting reticle. Thanks for the tips, I'm going to give it another shot. It's the darndest thing though. It feels like I'm doing it perfectly but then Little Jacob just flies away when I'm an inch away from him. ------------------- ![]()

Out of curiosity, what happens if you choose Dwayne instead of Playboy, and Derrick instead of Francis? I'd like to know.. ------------------- ![]()

quote Oogity_Boogity_BooIf you choose Dwayne, there is a sad scene of Niko shooting him while Dwayne has a monologue about how all his friends were fake. Playboy then gives you cash, but refuses to hang out with you because you killed his boy (which he begged you to do. The bastard). If you choose Derrick, Francis gives you the cash as planned and will lower your wanted level through the rest of the game (if you cna get up with him). ------------------- ![]() "Nothing is a cliche when it's happening to you".

I think he only lowers three stars on a wanted level one time for you. You're better off getting Kiki or whoever that lawyer is to lower it on more than one occasion. ------------------- -Team Bunny-

I could never get up with him. I never said the ability was useful. Just listing it. I hate Francis, and never plan on letting him survive that mission again. ------------------- ![]() "Nothing is a cliche when it's happening to you".
