Robbing Homes |
|
Before this game was released and i was still looking forward to getting my mind blown by its unknown awesomeness, I remember reading an article somewere which had a rockstar developer stating that for every 1 feature that was removed from san andreas, 2 were added for gta 4.
I'd like to know what any of the new features actualy are beside multiplayer. Rockstar defended removing cool shit by saying they were trying to keep things realistic. Robbing other apartments and closed stores seem like it would integrate nicely into the moneymaking aspect of this game yet the ability to do so is mysteriously absent.

I'm fairly certain that the "2 features added for 1 taken out" comment was more metaphorical than literal, meaning Rockstar wasn't adding activities like house-robbing for example but rather adding elements to the city to make it seem more real, and adding abilities to the main character that changed gameplay.
I agree that random apartments and stores should have been able to be robbed, though. I particularly like the way Saint's Row did it, allowing you to rob certain businesses on the map for cash and then forcing you to get away from the cops. Hell, it would have been fine to do it the way San Andreas had you complete robbing missions, by finding moving vans and selecting a target in a minigame. However, seeing as how there's really not a lot to spend money on in the game...I doubt I'd rob too many places, to be honest. ------------------- quote Overheard in Loungin'Deists: Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, John Adams...the bad history bug strikes again!

quote Sk8rDieI never read that article. But I think it's safe to say it was a misprint. What I think Rockstar really meant was "for every one feature we take out, that's one feature you're just gonna have to live without." Yeah, that's it. ------------------- ![]() It's official. I think they may be including the dlc, I guess when the dlc comes out one download will be the size of vice city and one will be the size of san andreas. These wont be maps just extra niko missions and new cars and weapons and buildings.
