Teclincly its the 121st star because you have to get all others twice, but lets not count that.
For me it was that damn 'Bomb the trash' minigame in the dreadnought galaxy, it just didn't give you enough time unless it was done perfectly ------------------- KANON_FAN IS SEX | |

Either the trash blasting game, or maybe the purple coins...

Some of the purple coins missions were a real challenge, but I have to agree with you two, the Bomb the Trash mission was insane.

Definetly trash on Dreadnought, it was so freaking hard! The purple coins on Honeyhive weren't hard, but super annoying.

I got the trash bombing star on the first try. It was close, but not really a challenge. As I've been holding off finishing the story for as long as possible, I'm at around 55 stars and just beat the Bouldergeist boss on the Ghost planet. That wasn't hard, but I can see that with the daredevil comet being a challenge.

I thought the trash one was a piece of cake.
 Anyway, the hardest one for me has to be either the purple coin challenge in the Toy Galaxy or the daredevil challenge in the Melty Molten Galaxy. Both of them took a lot of tries for me. -------------------  | |

I guess it just depends how good you are fundamentally with certain aspects of the game, but the trash was pretty tough in my opinion.

Melty Molten's daredevil took me one try.
Also, I think some people are thinking some people are talking about Battlerock's trash, I'm saying Dreadnought's trash was hard.------------------- | |

Dreadnought trash took me a single try, the daredevil Melty Molten one took me like 3 tries and the purple coins in the Toy Galaxy took me.. probably 10+ tries..

The Toy Purple Coins took me 50+ lives. The hardest for me though was the Ghostly Mansion and the Daredevil comet on it. I had no patience.
