Mario will never die if Nintendo keeps on creating games like Super Mario Galaxy, unique new and creative style.

How old is Mario? Not in terms of the oldest Mario game but his actual age. Idk why but i think it would be kinda cool to see Mario old and gray eventually. not soon but eventually. kinda like Snake in MGS4

I don't think the Mario franchise will ever completely die out, it will always be the thing you see when you think of Nintendo. I still enjoy all the old games. No doubt Galaxy will give it a boost as well to a ever wider audience.
I have noticed though, that most people think the Mario franchise is trying to every type of game possible. I mean it was fine with the Mario Karts its a great addition to the franchise but Golf, Football, Tennis ect. I think its was going a bit far when Golf came out. คภเ๓є ------------------- ![]()

This is a top franchise that will soon lose it's number 1 spot to Pokemon. Pokemon is the 2nd best selling franchise.

They just need to stop making the lazy Mario Party games and remakes. Just make the original platformers for the DS and the Wii and you have yourself some good games and not just crappy spin offs/party games.

I agree that they should end the crappy sequels of Mario Party to concentrate on the adventure series or other spin-offs.
I don't think its dieing, the only series dieing in the Mario franchise is the Mario Party series, the other games keep getting' better and better.

Yes, Mario Party is one game that is going too far and will continue to become less and less popular till it just losses money. I do admit I have played it with some friends on the Gamecube a few years ago and was quite fun but only took a few time before we got bored and never played it again. The franchise has its very high point like Super Mario 64 and then it has its very low points with game series like Mario Party.

No Mario isnt a dying franchise. Super Mario 64 was revolutionary, and as Galaxy is slated to be the true sequel to that game, it is no doubt it will too live to it's predecessor and it's gaming system's nickname, being in itse;f a revolution.

I love every Mario game, and I hope the series never dies. Sonic is what seems to be slipping to me. Secret Rings sucked, as well as Sonic on 360. The classic sonics were pretty good though. Sonic Adventure and SA 2 were also pretty good games.

Yeah, Secret Rings was the worst game I have ever owned. SA 1 and 2 were awesome, though.
About Mario, I do not think he is dying, but he will definitely calm down within 10 years. -------------------
