Survival of the Fittest *SPOILERS*

I started survivor mode just a few short days ago to obtain the "I choose the impossible" trophy and have to say, I'm liking the challenge that it's thrown my way. Having to adopt and create new strategies to overcome the enemies whether complex or simple is a nice touch to an already awesome game.

So basically this thread is to share some of those strategies for those who might not be faring as well on Survivor difficulty.

Here's a couple of mine:

One strategy I used a lot for hard mode was to hypnotize a Big Daddy then hit it with security bullseye in front of a hacked camera and let the bots do the work for me.

On survivor it just takes too long to do and going against them one on one can be quite risky, so now I carry enrage and hypnotize big daddy. Go find a big daddy then search in a different area where you know one will eventually spawn to get a little sister. When you've found another big daddy hit it with enrage and it'll go after your hypnotized one.

Better to let them go at each other than you. Then when one has fallen and the little sister has been rescued or harvested finish the other to collect his/her (I wonder if big daddies have a gender?) cash too.

Saves using your own eve hypos, ammo and first aid kits. Never hurts to have too much money on hand either.

NOTE: You could shoot the big daddy to provoke it, but then it'll want to attack you first, which you dont really want to happen on this difficulty.

This is probably used by a lot of people, but telekinekis is a great thing to use. Splicers usualy die in one hit fron getting a body or somthing thrown at them. I also hid and let hacked security camers do the work for me when I did survival mode.

Telekinesis is definitely one of the best plasmids hands down. I like to fire proximity mines onto an object then use telekinesis to launch it at an unfortunate enemy, hahaha good fun and it can do major damage to those big daddies too

A great tactic to use is Target Dummy. It helps a hell of alot when the security cameras spot you or splicers are ganging up on you.

re: Survival of the Fittest *SPOILERS*

Well I finished survivor about 3 days after starting this thread, and with little trouble. Not sure if it was just me but it seemed too easy to be survivor during and after Fort Frolic. Maybe it was the strategies used but I was really hoping it would be a lot harder. Saying that I set up a lot of traps, lured enemies into security camera's vision and had Big Daddies do most of the dirty work.

Did anyone else find it to be a little too easy after progressing through?

re: Survival of the Fittest *SPOILERS*

Of course it gets easier later on, you get weapon upgrades, more plasmids and tonics. If you wanted a challenge, don't buy any plasmid or tonic slots, don't get weapon upgrades and go at everything with the wrench.

Personally I found it fairly challenging at some parts, but even on Normal mode, I barely used guns, only for Big Daddys and the occasional boss. I did the same in Survivor by default, I was taking out most splicers with my wrench, which made it harder than it should be.
