I think Grand Theft Auto has better missions than GTa3. Sure, GTa3 looks better, but some of the missions just aren't as good.

I've never really played GTA but cmon, GTA3 is better just for Triads And Tribulations, gang wars kick ass!:D:D:D

Well for pure gameplay nothing would beat Gta, but Gta3 has the graphics, the Guns, and the Cars. But I do agree the missions in Gta beat Gta3 hands down.

Yep, the originals missions were really good and original, but GTA3s graphics are so much better.

I never really played gta that much because I just hated the view. But I say GTA3 beats gta in graphics, cars, gangs, and all that other stuff, no doubt.

i agree with you el ray gta auto 1 missions are way better than grand theft auto 3 missions but i think grand theft auto 3 is better thand the first grand theft auto

the variety of missions in all the games is stunning and an amazing feat in and of itself - We have rockstar to thank for moments of some great fun and challenge.

hmm well gta is better cause the missions but gta3 has to much good graphics and ect.

GTA 3 had better grapics, and weapons, and it was funner jus to walk around doin other stuff in it, plus had its fair share of nice cars.
but then again, GTA had a LOT of nice cars you just couldnt see em that well due to the view( i think of my treasured porka turbo, untill the bastard cops shot it ta death)..............(bastards)...those dirty bastards)..

Nothing will ever beat the missions in GTA or the gameplay, but the graphics in GTA3 obviously win.

The best is GTA3, there are different missions, and it doesn't get boring. GTA is easy to complete. I have been playing it for 3 days and i have already completed,Then playing GTA3 i think that it is such a challange to complete.

GTA 1 had better people in it (example: Coolio Jackson, Mr.Hippie) but gta 3 was cold too!!!

and to keep it on topic... i still think GTA3 wouldve been cooler if it had the juggernaut and those convicts(as i call them) runnin in a line in orange jump suits, and if you got in front of them or somthin they would follow you around! i thought they were pretty cool(the regular pickpockets and carjackers just didnt fill in the gap of the convicts)

Exactly. Although, for a classic game, I would rather play GTA2 over GTA1, but GTA3 over GTA2. So, IMO, from best to worst it goes GTA3, GTA2, GTA1.
