They've announced this game to be a launch title for the Wii, but how many of you actually see that happening? I think they will make the launch title deadline and I really hope they do. I am definitely buying a Wii on day 1 and I really hope they have this game there. This is my most anticipated Wii game.

On IGN Matt Casamassina and Mark Bozon said we should not expect Dragon Quest Swords to be avaliable at launch.

I think we'll find out very soon, maybe at TGS, about when this game is coming out. I'm confident we won't see it until 2007 (which isn't that bad given all the other must-buy games for Wii).

I find it a bit strange that they would make this game for the Wii seeing as the last few games were aligned with Sony.

It's not in the main series though, and Square-Enix tend to spread titles around.

We've seen nothing of this game besides a quick video. I doubt we'll see this at launch. Just like Disaster Day of Crisis. Sadly.

Yep. Square-enix announced this game was a launch title and released like 3 seconds of footage...and that was it.
