re: Suggested Techniques??? |

I spend so much time in the Fight Training Arena simply trying out different combos and attack strings. I love it! At the moment I have a rather awesome–looking combo (if opponents couldn't backflip away from an ærial juggle I could class it as a true combo because the enemy doesn't hit the ground until the last move).
Face button–based launcher (I like Stomping Fist) into the square button attacks: Short Uppercut 3 Floating Butterfly Triple Side Kick Flying Knee Rocket Uppercut Haymaker 2. It looks totally badass. The Haymaker 2 links perfectly after the Rocket Uppercut. In fact, a Step Back Kick links perfectly after a Rocket Uppercut as well. So you can have strings like Stomping Fist Rocket Uppercut Step Back Kick for a sexy–looking smackdown sequence. I've not tried it yet, but I suspect you can probably replace the Haymaker 2 with the One–Two Punch for extra damage. You can also use a Half Moon Kick instead of a Flying Knee, but it doesn't do quite as much damage, and allows the opponent to touchdown before the 2nd part of the HMK relaunches. Still looks really cool though! EDIT: It turns out you can't use a One–Two Punch after the Rocket Uppercut (instead of Haymaker 2), because the latter move juggles the opponent too high for the second hit of the One–Two Punch to connect. Since that first punch does only 16 points of damage, sticking with the Haymaker 2 (35 points of damage) seems a better option. I've also noticed that a Forearm Smash 2 (50 points of damage) links seamlessly after a Rocket Uppercut, catching the opponent before (s)he hits the ground. Brilliant stuff! Wow I thought I was into this game.
But anyway those are some nice set ups but unfortunately my PS2 is broken and my PS3 doesn't play PS2 games so I haven't played in a long time so I can hardly remember my combos. Also you don't have to worry about it in this dead forum but try to keep double posting to a minimum. It's okay once in awhile but don't go over board or a Mod have a talk with you.

Thanks for your comments. Oh, and definitely thanks for the heads up!
EDIT: And here we go with the editing! Just defeated flyman at the end of stage 7. What a hilarious move to pummel him with! I've now unlocked moves like Stinging Bee and Palm Smash. Palm Smash fits in perfectly at the end of an attack string if you launch with Stomping Fist, then juggle further with Rocket Uppercut. But generally I like using it as a standalone move and cancelling the recovery. Awesome, not to mention cool–looking, move! This message was edited by Kodanshi on Feb 15 2009. -------------------

Indeed I do remember Palm Smash 2 being one of the best moves and I almost always had it as my powerful launcher on triangle.
And by the way do you have a wii or a PS3? We obviously have similiar tastes.(we are both smart enough to appreciate the awesomeness of God Hand)

Can't afford one at the moment, but my bro–in–law has a PS3. He has Virtua Fighter 5 for it, Soul Calibur IV, some FPSs and a whole load of racing games (he prefers those). I did show him some God Hand at mine and he said they should remake it for PS3, hahaha. I wish Clover hadn't gone kaput
I've seen an amazing YouTube video, though, where someone uses a separately assigned Rolling Sobat move to counter the spinning dash attack a Demon does! It was so awesome and extremely stylish. -------------------

That sounds pretty sweet. I love those really crazy complicated God Hand videos. They always made me shoot hire as far as my skill and combos.
You'll be glad to know that a lot of the former Clover employees mixed with a few other famous people have formed a company called Platinum Studios. They are responcible for Madworld on the Wii and Bayonetta on PS3/360.

Yeah, I heard about that. Awesome! Mad World looks splendid and very God Hand–y in concept. Bayonetta seems like a DMC thing, so I can't wait!
I've finished God Hand now, by the way, and unlocked Hard Mode. I really hadn't prepared myself for its difficulty Trying to do a KMS run in normal mode from scratch. I ended up dying 40 or 50 times each in the first two stages, mainly due to boss battles, until I could adapt to their patterns. I really don't look forward to those midget 5 viewtiful joe power rangers! EDIT: I died a few times against them, but managed to whoop their arses with a combination of almost constant dash attacks, and occasional ærial juggles. Ooh, and I came up with a sexy–looking and highly damaging juggle combo: Half Moon Kick Elbow Spin 3 Stinging Bee Flying Knee Rocket Uppercut Palm Smash Heavier enemies, like the bigger thugs (NOT fatties) will fall too fast for the Palm Smash to connect in the air, so you can replace that with a Forearm Smash 2 instead. I prefer keeping Palm Smash as a separate attack. The video I mentioned, though, in which someone uses a Rolling Sobat as a counter against a blade demon's spin attack made me wonder: can you do that with a dashing sobat? Or perhaps some other knockback attack (like Haymaker 2 or something). That would look insanely cool. This message was edited by Kodanshi on Feb 22 2009. -------------------
