The trick is, is that you need to be prepared. You can't sit there lallygagging thinking that they might bite more than once. When they charge for your bobber, you have to have your brain in focus.
Also, I didn't know fish could release a world-wide musical hit and then never be heard from again. ------------------- ![]() I just want to set you on fire, so I don't have to burn alone;

I find that removing one of your senses from it makes things easier. When I'm fishing I usually close my eyes and wait until I hear the bobber go under because sometimes your sights and hearing can get mixed up and make things harder.

Thanks all for your comments, I do not sit there as has been said lallygagging at all & as I am fishing I rely on my hearing & not sight. If a fish is there I cast to the fish & when they lock on I look away & listen for the plop it is then I press A & do not watch them go for the float at all.

Man, I hate when there's a really big shadow in the water and you go for it, only to miss it because it took the bait on the very first bite. I always sit there wondering what it could've been (probably a Sea Bass, but meh).

quote SSBB CrazyI usually expect that every time the fish takes a nip at the bobber, it won't catch. Because if I do, my reflexes will develop a mind of their own and lose that fish for sure. -------------------

I do that when i know there's a good/rare fish. It's because i worry about not pressing A fast enough.

That is why for some time now the only time I look is when I cast the line & to see if its in the right place & they see it, after than I do not look at it & just wait to hear the PLOP. I used to get so uptight waiting for them to strike & as they back away then it seems to take them ages before they strike the float again. So I got to the point that I thought oh boy my heart can not take this at all, te he he. So I now & have done for a long time now, I just look away & just use what I can hear.

That happens to me to Clo. XD
I saw an eel yesterday (the shadow I mean) and I thought it was about to take its 5th and last bite, but I miscounted and it was only its fourth and I pulled the bobber out to soon. ): -------------------

quote StevemeisterIt is incredibly annoying, but I suppose it can't be helped. Just try keeping your thumb a good ways away from the A button at all times. -------------------

Oh, i keep the rumble on the wiimote on too. It seems to help when it gives you a tiny jolt when the float goes under to immediately press A.
