Master's Battles

Hey!

I'm playing Pokemon Battle Revolution a lot, and constantly leveling up my team on Platinum in an attempt to improve my chances of getting further with the Master's Battles in Stargazer Colliseum. I'm on Set 3 at the moment, and I can get as far as the final, but always seem to lose it. Can anyone gimme any advice?

This is my team:

Lv. 70 Infernape - Return, Flare Blitz, Close Combat, Blast Burn
Lv. 70 Staraptor - Ariel Ace, Fly, Brave Bird, Close Combat
Lv. 70 Alakazam - Psywave, Future Sight, Psychic, Toxic
Lv. 70 Rapidash - Flame Wheel, Return, Flare Blitz, Fire Blast
Lv. 70 Luxray - Shock Wave, Discharge, Thunder, Charge
Lv. 70 Floatzel - Crunch, Surf, Brine, Blizzard

I realise it's a pretty standard team, but it really works for me. They all have good points and bad points, and yet I don't seem to do so well with the Master's Battles. I have lots of other Pokemon I can train up, and I refuse to use legendary's. Please, help me out.

re: Master's Battles

I'm suprise you got through, great work! My infernape has:

Foucus Blast
Fire Blast
Blast Burn
Fire Blitz

The first 2 you can get from the Velistone City Mall, and it's not expensive! So you can do that to improve that! But since I don't have any other pokemon that are the same with yours, so I can't really help you there!

re: Master's Battles

Infernape actually tends to be better with physical attacks, so your one isn't living up to its potential with that moveset.
Close combat and Stone Edge are always very useful on PBR.

Also, combos. They always help in double battles. Give a pokemon an earthquake attack and put Staraptor next to it. I'd do this with something that is weak against grass so Staraptor can cover it, that way it's not just stood there.

Ice always does well on Battle Revolution, I'll never know why but they do.
Oh and Ubers, I know it's not exactly the most competitive way to battle, but Dialga tends to be really useful.
