General Discussion 65: Three parts musical inspiration, one part Mexican. |
![]() quote ShadowJ - - - - - - You gotta admit, the title does sound like a pretty kickass drink. Um.... Uh.... yeah. Thank you kindly for the title, Wolf of Light. - - - - - - Quoteage time: quote Scott Cee quote Matt Addison quote Wolf of Light quote Matt Addison quote Rust quote Foryx Minor tid-bits: Ick, no music with lyrics. I can't focus when I write if a voice is blaring in the background. I do enjoy classical music, or alleged 'spazzy' piano pieces. (Ex. of such a thing: The instrumentals that accompany the song "You're an Ocean." That's some damned good piano. Also, Rust, no one outside of our grumpy-old-men circle uses this GD... Don't automatically assume that no one else will be interested if you go through with your idea. You just might get input or support from the people who refuse to dwell here. (Whhhhhyyyyyy. ;____; ) Also, School has just started up for a lot of people-- The first two months are often a difficult period, but things tend to cool down after awhile. As people get into the groove of things and come up with an acceptable schedule, they'll be more comfortable with their lives overall. Then they might be willing to spare some free time. Plus, you owe the forum for hyping us up at the Ammy awards and then smashing our hopes into an ungodly rage. Lastly: Inns. We used them all the time in Golden Sun, but that's probably because they were a core part of the original game. (HP restoration~ XD) WTC's setting was also an abandoned hotel, but I suppose a hotel that eats your sins and tortures you is different from the kind of hotel you're talking about. Week~eeeend.... start! This message was edited by Chroma on Sep 26 2009.

I only focused on the last two pages of GD 64. Maybe you should post more.

Chroma, the girl in the first panel has a face that would fit very well as your avatar, yes?

Tempt not the Great Chroma into changing her BoF avatar that forcefully inserts its foot into many posteriors.
It'd be like me changing my avatar to something completely different. But at least in Golden Sun, the good guys eventually got a base up so they had somewhere to sleep. At least until it got destroyed. Twice. And Aura was making money in the beginning of Era of Darkness, Chroma. She was selling flavored wall paper, remember? ------------------- ...So click the banner and read *_*

quote ChromaHaha! Or at least I decide to get trigger happy and post again? I've already partically formulated my next post in my head. I know exactly what I want to do with it, I just need to kind of flesh it out. And yes, it also need to be in as part of Chapter 1, so you can't end it yet. The soudtrack for one of my favourite games that I decided to download last night has a lot of good tracks that I can just see myself doing things with. One such, even gave me an idea about something that is entirely outside the scope of what I had originally intended for Eden and will certainly be worth looking into. XD There are some tracks though that were corrupted, so they exploded in harsh noises when you turn them on, which wasn't a part of the track naturally. So I deleted them, but they weren't that great anyway... Kind of sub-par. As far as inns go. I don't tend to use them all that much, from what I recall. Most of my characters usually have a standing in the world that makes it silly for them to be using an inn. And besides, I feel the nature of an inn in an RP in particular is most used for character building and churning out dialogue than anything else. I intend to do that in my next Eden post, but the characters won't be in an inn, as I don't believe that one could be situated in the middle of a gigantic, nocuous mountain range. XD -------------------

ANOTHER title? First NDL, now RP itself...I'm on a roll.
Best instrumental band ever is God Is An Astronaut. They're Irish, They're amazing. Look 'em up. In fact, Other such things of interest have forsaken my mind. Darkfall puts me to sleep, you see. ------------------- Please forgive me, Jolie Dame, Mais je n'ai pas un couer And while I sorely wish I did, I've only time to whore.

Nice tie in there, Joseph. =] It will be interesting to see what Crocell and Avandrael's relationships are to each other considering that they are presiding officers of neighbouring states.
I can't wait to see what happens. ;] -------------------

How is it that with WoL's quote, becoming a GD title at that, nobody has made a joke about TehPedro yet
quote ShadowJYou know what might help your awesome return? Actually joining an RP quote Matt AddisonMeet them, go there, do that, have that, end that... there's still going to be a good few posts about Cannon and Hal before the chapter's finished, unless if Lei inexplicably shortens things, so don't worry. quote Wolf of LightGood, now go do the next FRP GD title and, depending on whether you get it, we can prepare for the apocalypse accordingly. Music: Instrumentals are generally better to work with but I've found I can generally knock out something of the same level with Highway to Hell blazing in my ear. A good work around for when lyrics are being too distracting and you don't want to use an instrumental (why would you not? I don't know) is to listen to a song sung in a foreign language. Ichirin no Hana was my inspiration for my last NDL post which, as WoL will attest, turned out pretty nicely. Inns: I see Inns as just buildings in which plot may or may not take place. Nothing special about them, really. ------------------- I just wanted to bring down your grim facade and for once let you see the world as I see it, giggling in a corner and bleeding.

I should make an RP centering around inns... or at least where they're important...

Inns. They're where stories start and also where Heroes come from.
Frequently several of the latter over a short period, depending on the quality of drink and luck of the individual hero. Always need a plan B >.>

I might start working on my next post. =]
I am glad that the ending isn't imminent, of the chapter that is. I at least want Crocell to get to Ilyasa's capital before that happens. It shouldn't take too long. <3 I've been listening to a lot of Castlevania music lately for inspiration and picked up Curse of Darkness again. Whilst it's 3D, which those games are notorious for being bad in, this one isn't too shabby. ;] -------------------
