re: **General In Game Problem Thread

oK here my problem:

Athlon XP 1700 (1.47ghz)
512 PC2100
80gb IBM 7200 ATA100
SB Audigy
16x/40x DVD
40x20x48x CDRW
Generic HP ethernet
Conexant Modem v.92
Epox 8K7A+ mobo
**Geforce 4 Ti 4600**

Heres my problem, there is absolutely no way I should be having the problems I am. I turn everything off in the back ground. I installed all the latest drivers and fixes (XP fix too). When Im playing GTA3 it starts off the way it should running ultra smooth and then all of a sudden it gradually starts to slow down to where its almost impossible to play and then after a couple seconds it starts to speed up to normal speed again. Mind you I have nothing running in the background and even if it was with 512mb a ram nothing should slow it down that considerably. Its like if the framerate were attached to a speedometer and somebody was driving at 70mph and then slows down to 15mph then slams on the gas back up to 80mph. Please help me.

Again, this is the WinXP/NVidia driver combination bug.. just download the fix that's located somewhere in this forum.

I had this problem with Flight Sim 2002 ... I e-mailed microsoft about it and they said I had to do the following :

Go into the Start Menu and select "Run" ; then type in MSCONFIG ; In general ... select that you want to select the start-up programs manual ; Then go into the start-up programs and select plug&play , windows installer , themes and windows audio ... ; then apply and restart !

That should fix it ... It fixed the problem at MS Flight Sim 2002 and GTA 3

re: **General In Game Problem Thread

I just got myself a new computer, HP Pavilion mx70, and the game kicks ass on this system, I can turn the settings all the way up and no lag or anything. I have one problem though, I wanna take all the mp3s on my MP3 Radio Station GTA3, and put them on this computer so I don't have to download all the 175 songs I had on it, whats the process in doing this?

thanx

re: **General In Game Problem Thread

The best way to do this is probley make shortcuts to other things.. to do so, just highlight or left click (I think) click on the ones you want and move it to a difrent folder, it should do an auto shortcut.

No, I meant like how would I get the mp3s from my old computer and put them on my new computer?
