Hey, I just installed Win2k from WinME and now I get the following message when loading (or startign a new) a game:

"Cannot convert textures for your video card. You must login to an Administrator account to do this. Press ESC to quit."

I have windows set to always log me on as Administrator so I'm not sure what the problem is. I also have all the newest drivers for everything that I have (i spent a whole night downloading updates/patches when i installed 2000)

Thats a pretty weird computer you got their. Can't you go back to ME? What graphic card?

Why do you see it's a weird computer? The graphics card is an ATI Radeon 8500LE 128MB DDR 4xAGP. I would never go back to ME in a million years I hope I never see another OS as bad as ME again... It crashes, eats ram, crashes some more etc etc

The computer RAM is pretty weird. I mean 640mb. If it worked on the old OS, why not go back to it?

Oh i see The ram is the original 128mb stick plus a 512mb added on later

I had lots of problems with ME - I tried different versions of explorer (i thought that was the cause of my problems) but got no where.

Also, 2000 is much faster and more stable for everythign else other than GTA3 (including other games).

Are you sure your graphics card is a 128mb? Sometimes, as in the ATI-ALL-In-Wonder 128 Ultra. It is NOT a 128mb as I thought, and when I finally got it, I discovered it was a 32mb. I made due, and upgraded it to a 128mb. OK if you're not logging in as Administrator, click the start menu and log off whatevers there. Then see if you can log back in as the administrator. If not, restart your computer, and when it says "push F1 to enter BIOS setup" or something like that, do it. See if ou can do anything with the supervisor password and whatnot. BE CAREFUL IF YOU MESS UP EXIT AND DON"T SAVE CHANGES

The card is 128mb (as it says on box and in specs), I've also had an AllInWonder128 but the box clearly states it has 32mb memory.

I am logged in as Administrator; nothing can be done in bioes.

Hi. MY GAME FREEZES. CAN U HELP.

The game starts, the problem is that when I start playing and I hit anything like a building, other cars or light poles it will automatically kick me off with an error. I have changed the display and graphic accelerator all the way off and nothing seems to be working. I know that my computer is fast enough and the memory of my video card is adequete to handle the graphics load, my hard drive is big enough to handle this game. I would appreciate your help.

Thats odd, have you added anymods on or anything, if that doesnt work reload your game (Keep saves if you want)

Umm, I really don't understand the question, I mean, I know it freezes but what happens before. Does it freeze whenever the R* logo post up

AAARGHGHGHGHGGHGHHH!!!!

Anyone got any ideas about this one? Sometimes the game runs nicely, sometimes it runs like a crippled parrot. Even when it runs nicely, it always hangs at some point, letting me know its going to by getting really really choppy.

I think it might be something to do with the crappy soundcard (on-board) and its lack of a hardware buffer. . .any ideas anyone? I'd be thinking it'd be running like the proverbial bitch on my system?
