Move the mouse around.

It's right after Chatterbox, make sure you put MP3's in the MP3 folder.

Make sure the skins are in BMP format.

The skins are all in BMP format though!

okay this is REALLY weird and certainly it seems like a glitch! MAybe someone can help me with this?

I have infinite run enabled and sometimes when I run out of my Portland hideout, the game skips a beat and Fido trips on the downhill slope or something and just falls forward and down to the ground, sometimes like 20 feet into the street right out front. This drains like 50-100%of my armor and sometimes all my armor and 125 Health as well! The game seems to be reacting to Fido "tripping" as if he fell an INCREDIBLY long distance. IT is very annoying, and happens in a few other places in Liberty City. Sometimes I "fall" and get wasted for no reason from this!

IS this a glitch a bug, a fixable error? Because it is VERY annoying, and I lost a really good Dodo flight, game save because of it! DOes anyone else have this problem??

My mp3's dont work. they are in the right folder also!!! and it says they are all ok

I am having the exact same problem. The game loads perfectly fine I can drive and walk around for about 45-60 seconds then it just freezes, ( but ther music still plays) and i hit the escape key and it boots me back to the windows desktop. Just like madwax said for the few secs it runs for it runs perfectly fine. I have updated video drivers, sounds drivers, mobo drivers, I installed SP2 ( cause I'm running Win2k), I did anything ANY suggested in any forum. Please help me, and madwax. We need senseless violence and crime!

My Specs are:
AMD 1.1
392 MB ram
Geforec 2 Ti 64mb
40 gb HD
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
I am running Windows 2000.

Well i solved my problem by doing a scan disk, the defraggin my hard drive, then uninstalling, and reinstalling GTA3.

but now i get a similar error when i try andload a saved game. the blue bar at the bottom goes all the way to the end, then it freezes and i get that stupid unhandled exception error. Anyone help me with this. And this problem has nothing to do with user logins.

Well thanks for the info, but i solved my problem. It turns out my disk wasn't made correct by the manufatcturers and now that its working, all i can say is *bleep* YEAH!!!

high everyone...im having a problem..(which rockstar says im like the only one with problems..LOL)..so ive tried many nvidia drivers and have the 28 32's in now...ive been thru like 4-5 of em...none help. my game starts up nice and then when i start to drive and get to the first intersection, game freezes or crashes back to the desktop. the error that showed up first, was NVDD32.dll. now it jus says error unknown. with the 28 32's, ive been able to drive for about a minute, then same crash to desktop. i had a similar problem running 3Dmark 2002 when it gets a few tests in, 3dmark crashes to desktop. i heard there is a patch for the 3dmark thing and that it fixes other issues too maybe. anyone heard of it? i think this is the only d3d game i have.tho i have a midtown madness 2 demo that crashes to desktop too. and a c@c renegade demo also does same. i have formatted 3 times this week because of this game. im at my wits end. i have seen an update for my video cards bios too...will that help? my puters bios is up to date. ive been thru a million resolution settings and video card settings, nothing helps. crash to desktop, crash to desktop, freeze. ive read a ton of threads and forums, but everyone seems to have xp or win 2000 running, so theyre answers dont pertain to me. SOMEONE HELP ME! To get MP3's on your MP3 station, move the MP3 files or links to your Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\MP3 folder. If that's not the folder, move it to your GTA3 directory, in to the MP3 subdirectory.

In the display settings in the GTA3 turn off the 'TRAILS' option & turn on the Frame Limiter' & move the slide most of the way to the left on 'DRAW DISTANCE'. Also you can try renaming the 3 movie files in the 'C: \Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\movies' folder.

well i read all the threads abotu the video problem and the sluggishness and stuff same thing is gogin on with my PC

and a ALl in wonder 8500DV 64MB video

and well wot i found is the only time i can ue this game is when it is runnign at 640*480*16 colors even 32 makes it go slwo after my first turn.

and now the big problem is the sound of my pc is gone every thign is in tact the audio drivers are there and i even uninstalled and reinstalled hte drivers but nothing
and it happened after i installed the GTa3 so it has got to do somethign with gta3 any one else having this problem?

Turn on your speakers . Seriously I don't know what could be wrong, check all your pc sound programs? If everything is working fine, re-install the game?

Well that is the issue. The sound is only in GTA3 once i am out of the game no sound at all from any thing. MP3s AVI DVD VCD no sound the only time i hear some thign is when i click on teh speaker icon and change the vlume i get a beeping soudn from my System speaker but not from my Sound card speakers
