New update now no sound at all from any thing excpet the on MB speaker

Hey. I haven't been able to find this, so I hope someone helps me. This is really weird:

In the game, after about 30 seconds to a minute, my default "centered, do nothing" state is to strafe/turn left. It's almost like you have a joystick that's not calibrated right, so hitting "right" makes you stand still and "left" is like double left, so you run. The problem is, I'm on a keyboard! This is very weird. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as the game is unplayable without it.

If I reload the save game, I'm back to normal.

Try tapping the left key once. You should stop strafing.

Go to megagames.com and select pc fixers find the nocd zipped file and down:colored:load it

Over at Sheepy's GTA3 farm (?) you can dowload a patch which will convert textures to 16 colours, so they still look the same in the game, yet it will dramatically increase the FPS. I have yet to try it, but I will probably be downloading it later tonight.

I'm having problems keeping my video resolution settings. I switch to a higher resolution and when I play, it's at the lowest setting. Anyway, the game is kind of choppy on my system too.

Just so everyone knows, there are new nvidia drivers out 29.xx Download it. It fixed everything. (choppy gameplay, etc)

hi, i have an ongoing problem that noone can help me with. first i have updated my bios and software and wins is up to date. ive only recently started to try d3d games on my system, and they will not work. even 3dmark 2002 crashes to desktop after it gets to the d3d stuff. my system specs are:>>>> (CPU: athlon 1700+ xp chip (motherboard: ECS model k7s5a with a SiS 735 chip (soundcard: soundblaster audigy mp3 (graphics card: ASUS gf3 Ti 200 64m ddr no tv out (cd: mitsumi cd/r/w (system ram: 1024 ddr (operating system:win millenium edition (monitor: nokia 445xi "21 (my current desktop resolution is: 1024x768 (tho ive tried 8x6 for most troubleshooting. (desktop refresh rate is: 100htz (ive tried lower for trouble. .. i have direct x 8.1, i have the latest nvidia detonators version 29.42. i have the latest agp drivers for my motherboard. all up to date. now recently ive bought a d3d game. its called grand theft auto 3. this game crashes the same way the 3dmark 2002 did : (dump back to desktop. or (graphics would be frozen smear. the game lets me start it, and begin. but as soon as i start to drive,(the game consists of driving, the game crashes back to desk or soupy graphics allover screen frozen. THE ERROR I HAVE IS ; gta3 has caused an error in NVDD32.dll and will now close. i have been thru many forums and FAQ's about this game and troubleshooting it. noone can help me. the game, at the beginning, when im able to start it, the game runs beautiful. very fast and smooth.( this game is very taxing on cpu and system so obviously its not that my computer cant handle it. if you know of any issues with my system and D3D applications running on my system, please help me, im very confused. everything else works so good. now this. please point me in the direction of a patch or fix for these problems.....thanx for your time and response. When installing GTA3 on my brothers computer I get this message does anyone know what it means.

I believe I may have found my problem it appears to be a corrupt disk.

im having problems in the menu and in the game play everithing were the map and the live and money are is in blank it apears a yellow bloock were that stuff go

A quick note to ATI Users.

The new catalyst reference drivers are now out on the site.
There are numerous performance advances for GTA3 but the drastic downside which I have currently discovered is a massive overdraw of fog when the weather changes.

In short the screen goes grey with only headlights and tail lights to see. I would advise against upgrading until ATI or someone else finds a way around this.

Although I do admit the motion trails and new effect support are awesome while they last.

Where can I find the nvidia 29.xx drivers:confused:

Ok I installed the new nvida drivers but my computer glitched and woudn't start up right, so I had to go into safe mode and roll back the video card drivers, then it finally started up right. I have a p4 1.5 ghz, 32mb nvidiatnt2 m64 video card, and the freakin' game is still laging seriously and it won't load textures fast at all:# WTF is wrong????
