Alot of in-game problem threads have came up in the past several days. So in this thread post your problems that have occurted in your game. Here are some tips on how to avoid slow game play.
Turn off all trails and reduce draw distance. To do this, goto options and then to settings, they should be there. Tip From: D Ice Remember to install Direct X 8.1 Remember to install the newest driver, Direct C 8.1 It should be on your disk but if its not, Here it is. Appox download: 1 hour, 10 minutes on a 56k modem using AOL. size: 11.5 mega bytes Transfer rate: 3.0 kb per second. Oh, good thats probley the reason why it goes slow.. Ohyeah and just a reminder, try using all the tips that D Ice, Nut Case, Dynamite [(for fixin the link)(We're gonna miss you old bud!)], and me have posted in the first few posts. I'm gonna wait on emailing R* until you update your driver ok? If its still slow, PM me or post here.

Seems like alot of people are having this problem, whats your video card? This sounds like the same exact thing KFC is going through..

Some times it does fix itself after a while, maybe you need to update your graphix card by going onto the company website and downloading the newest patch (From the card company).

Thats a good question, but since you seem to have game slow down, I would probley have the card. But if everything is slow, maybe the 256 is for you. I can get you some good deals on cards if you want me to.

Try opening up the Run feature [Start/Run] (At the bottom left side of the screen) and type in that "DXDIALOG" or whatever it is in. It should find it (hopefully).

The best way to do this is probley make shortcuts to other things.. to do so, just highlight or left click (I think) click on the ones you want and move it to a difrent folder, it should do an auto shortcut.

Have you downloaded the old patch? That fixes alot of problems that you have in the game. I guess your running on XP also...

Thats odd, have you added anymods on or anything, if that doesnt work reload your game (Keep saves if you want)

Does it do that when your not playing a game as well? If it is, then maybe try getting a new keyboard. Also, be sure that your keys arn't sticky, my friend's brother got jelly under the shift key and it sticks from time to time.
