GTA3 Editors/Cheats/Skins - Nvidia chipsets tip |
|
The text/vehicle/weapons attribute editors seem to work ok...I have been playing with the edited files without any failures. I have also found a list of cheats that seem to work fine. I do not want to post them here to ruin anyone's fun, so email me for the list.
I have been trying to create new skins as well, and it is very simple; it's just a 256 x 256 bitmap split into 6 panes. Just save one of the original skins, and edit in any photoshop-style program. Save it to the program filesrockstar gamesGTA3skins directory. I am running a Pentium4 1.5, 768MB RD RAM, with a GeForce2 32MB adapter. I was experiencing some 'surging' until I downloaded the latest Detonator driver from Nvidia, and turned off the anti-aliasing. Runs great in 1280 x 1024 x 16. Very cool game!

go to the properties of your adapter (control panel > display > Settings tab)Click the Advanced button, then select the GeForce tab. After clicking the Additional Properties button, it will bring up the anti-aliasing settings for the adapter...
Make sure you get the updated driver from Nvidia...

bsims@columbus.rr.com for help with skins, editors, or cheats... Also, try copying your favorite MP3's to the corresponding directory in the \program files\rockstar games\gta3\mp3 folder. Then you can play them in your cars by choosing "MP3 Player" in the radio list...COOL!
