Thats right people fear 3 has been put down for a 2010 release just read it from PSM3 Magazine (UK edition,January 2009) page 12

well actually it will most likely be a November-December 2010 release so two years and remember if call of duty can do it then FEAR can too

I can't wait, but I hope they cut back on the mindless shooting and focus more on scaring the crap out of us. I guess we'll be playing as the 3rd prototype this time, and I hope we some psychic abilities this time, like telekinesis.

I agree about the scares, but i like the way fear works without psycic abilities, slowmo is great though. I think that it may go back to point mans story, we still dnt know if he is dead, and we will prob be dealing with alms child this time anyway.

Perhaps the story will involve both the pointman and Beckett? It's pretty easy to see them following both, maybe have two playable characters, or co-op between the two?

This is a horror game, co-op doesn't belong here. Besides, Beckett is done for. He's not just gonna walk out of the situation he's in now. There's two possible scenarios for him, A) death or B) becomes the new Paxton Fettel and commands the replicas with his psychic powers (one of the data files even says he has the potential to surpass Fettel). He will probably be an antagonist.

I hope we play as PM next. In FEAR1, Alma tried to kill him until she learned through Fettel that he was her son, during gameplay she even says "I know who you are". But maybe she won't be so protective of him now that she has a new son, she seemed pretty pissed off at the end of the game partially because PM killed his brother, Fettel.

So for some reason Beckett is a natural born psychic wiz, but PM has Alma's genes 8)

i love fear! the game play the way it can scar the shit out of you. and how cool Alma is so the fact that fear is one of the best selling games dos not come as a surprise to me but what i think they might do is make a fear move after fear three or after the last game

If it does come out in 2010 thats cool but... will it realy be that good if its only been in production for 2 years. 2 years may seem like a lot but for videogames this on the short side.

As for the characters if you guys listen to what Alma says to Becket (if you haven't gotren past the level Wade elementary school don't read!!! So it is unlikely that he is dead and it is also unlikely that Pointman is dead as well.

So that being said FEAR 3 may have two main characters possibly alternating between Pointman and Becket or perhaps there will be separates stories like choosing which character to play as. Similar to Resident evil 2, it may have two intertwining points of view.

Also the third prototype is as of the end of FEAR 2 still unborn. with no gender stated (i think). Pointman may attempt to kill Alma and child in which Becket MAY defend her. i don't know and it kills me not to know. Damn you Monolith for getting me addicted to FEAR.

a thought just occured what if Becket and Pointman both die in Fear 3 (pointman and Becket killing each other hmm...)

you all do realise at the end of fear 2 [spoiler=]she is *bleep*ing him an she gets prego from that so maybe in 3 you will be that kid?[/spoiler] or maybe like you all said becket an the other guy will team up an how would co-op ruin this game if they did it right it would add a shit load to it there are not enough co-op games that are worthy now days they would be doing us a favior with that one
