I just played the new reborn campaign on fear 2 and[spoiler=]Paxton Fettel gets reborn[/spoiler] maybe we'll go through that route again like in number one but as for playing as the kid i don't think so but i like the jump back and forth between becket and pointman idea although i'm sorta curious how beckett reacted to finding out she basically raped him ya know, looking forward to the new game and hate the wait

Also, there were THREE prototypes created from Alma's DNA! The one is Paxton, the other is the PointMan, and who the hell is the third???

By the way, when you killed Paxton Fettel, you were inside a hallunication of Alma, which made me believe that Alma wanted you to kill him or something.Dunno if i'm wrong.

As for Fear 2 i agree that it wasn't so scary, because your screen would shake and spook you for 30seconds that something is about to happen..it didn't have the element of surprise like in fear 1,(The ladder was a good example)

FEAR RULES.

point-man is dead like really dead, if you have played fear files then you know hes dead. IE gets blown off a building and dies due to being blown off a building. I figure buddy that helps open the door just be for you get boned by alma, will come down and bail you out and or (most likely "and") die while doing so. but in all fairness to alma, id do her, she hot for some one whos dead, like when she isnt all "dead-ish" or "childish looking"(because that would be wrong on so many levels, you know sleeping with a dead child ewww) but more on the topic the only possible problem with a fear 3 in 2010 would be the fact that right around then the PS4 and Xbox "720"(please note that the console names i m using are not the actual names just what we would all expect them to be) should be coming out so that would probably over shadow the game, where as if they waited until the systems where launched and released the game for those systems then it would make more sense, i think thats what x-box is doing with the next Halo game(halo 4)in halo 3 master chief is stuck on 1/4 of a space ship about to crash on some really large planet so they need a 4) they are coming out with all these mini games ie halo wars, halo3 recon, and (some) the fall of Reach, they are using these to keep us interested so that way when the blockbuster comes out we are like moths to a light at night, so before a FEAR 3 comes out(although fear2 is the third game) i would expect a fear files 2. and if there is an alma out there im single and willing:P

I don’t think that Alma can have a physical child seeing as how her physical body has died and her physic signal is what remains. It is beckett’s natural dormant physic ability and the addition of whatever they did to him that made him attractive as a “mate” to Alma. If you played it to the end then read spoiler.

[spoiler=]You and Alma are trapped together and neither she nor you can escape. Beckett’s squad, point man and the crew in the helicopter at the end of the first are all unaccounted for at the end. It may be that point man needs to free her, or destroy her. [/spoiler]they left it open enough so there left with so many avenues to contnue with. god I love games like this. I could watch fear flash backs and cut scenes all day long. bloody awsome

I know all you guys are well in the knowlege of f.e.a.r but is it possible that time is reversing and repeating itself? is almas child bekket? i mean in the first fear the guy quotes that he is extreme in his tests and why does he have all these superpowers? is alma using him to controll the superhumans or what? im totally confused.

The FEAR series is a series that I can't put down. A few posts inspired me to put my own thoughts down. Some of this may be considered spoiler, I'm just going to write as if everyone reading has beaten FEAR and FEAR 2 (otherwise why would you be looking for FEAR 3? lol).

Okay, so Alma is pregnant at the end of FEAR 2 with a child who will undoubtedly take on genes from both Alma and Sgt Becket. That means that the child will have two super-awesome psychic parents' genes which spells out Armedegedon for the whole world. Since this newborn is going to surpass Paxton Fettel and Pointman in ability (why else would Alma pick to rape Becket?) then it is safe to assume that Alma will no longer have compassion for her former two sons. So it is that I put forth that we might take on the role of a new character who has nothing to do with the main story so far (yet, as is the case in the first two games, we will find out we were incredibly involved). I say this because I believe Pointman will appear somewhere in the story (as well as Paxton Fettel and maybe Becket) but Becket (as of right now) is trapped inside of Alma's mind. So while the story may brush over characters from past games, I have doubts that they will be main points (unless your job is to save both Pointman and Sgt Becket, that would be sweet). Anyway, our mission will be to obliterate Alma and her child (I'm assuming her child will be up and about in FEAR 3 because of how far along she was at the end of the last game). Thus, we will save the world from extinction. Well, maybe. Monolith has had a way of getting our hopes up only to show us that we were dead wrong in our assumptions. Maybe we will stop Alma and her offspring only to find that we were too late and the world has already burnt to the ground. But, I digress. No matter the actual plot line of the next game, I'm sure it will be thrilling, hair-rasing, terrifying, exciting and wonderful. I can't wait.

One last thing, I have always thought that little girl Alma was much creepier than teenage Alma. That has led me to think that maybe Alma's child will be a creepy little boy. Just a thought.

Fantastic analysis! Psychic + Psychic = Doomsday device? You are one hell of a mathematician.

All I have to say is that if fear 3 does come out my bowels will loosen with excitement. And with the way fear 2 ended I really don't think that any game company would just end a game series like that. I literally had to go through and beat the game at least 20 times to see if that really happened to Beckett.

By the way I really do think this game could involve point-man and beckett working co-op. of course with the 360 co-op should be on two different screens over live to maximize shit-your-pantsiality. if this were so the slomo could work. being that when one person uses it the other will see them move faster since the "slomo" is actually a reflex booster. not just slowing down time like in timeshift.

anyway here is my theory and it's just a theory of how the game is going to lay out.

First beckett is trapped in that psychic amplifier thingy and the point-man comes and activates the switch letting beckett out. of course alma is pissed and goes berserk destroying the factory blah blah blah and point-man and beckett escape. they have to work together with their combined psychic abilities to stop alma and the kid (which i believe she has the psychic power to make it physical, i mean she caused a nuclear explosion after all right?) so you have to fight your way through countless numbers of replica soldiers alma is sending after you two and destroy her son or daughter in which she will be even more pissed drag you into oblivion where you are to fight her and kill her. and if the monolith people want to leave it open the game could end with the two of you hearing a child crying. you look around to see a small child standing there holding a teddy bear. beckett is drawn by the child walks over and places his hand on the child's shoulder and the kid screams creepily turns sharply for you to see his face and the screen blacks out via the ending of the game and the starting of fear 4.

P.S: I do believe i read an article or heard it from someone who worked with monolith, since i lived in the same area as the headquarters in WA, that they were making fear 2 and fear 3 at the same time. but i imagine they are taking longer on fear 3 since fear 2 seamed more like a storyline redirection than the famously scary fear 1. so maybe fear 3 will be just as scary or scarier (if that's possible).

This should end the FEAR series.

Just my two sense, but didn't that Armacham lady (Genivive?) plan on trapping Beckett and Alma in that chamber all along? She was still alive before everything went wierd. She was planning on using Alma as leverage or something, so...

On the other hand, whilst Beckett was getting raped (somehow) he managed to turn the machine on. This would kind of give away that he has psychic (spelling?) powers.

The way I see it: F.E.A.R. 3 will be point man again. Beckett will be the next Fettle and we might even see a little baby scarin the shit out of us.

At least, I hope we get to play as point man again.

(btw, the logic behind beckett being an antagonist is that he is going to be trapped in that chamber with Alma for God knows how long)

FEAR RULES.

The original F.E.A.R. was a master piece! F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin was completely gay! But the only scary part was in the Wade Elementary school where all the lights shuts and theres ghost running at you and theres the lights blinking and you can hear the black ops in pain and dying... Man they needed to put a part like that in the original game. Can't wait for F.E.A.R. 3 though
