great game |
|
I've been playing the TW series for a few years now. I really am sick of starting a new character every year, I wish you could upload your old ones.
The putting is a lot harder this year. If you thought 06 was hard, just wait till you use this one. I kind of miss the easy putting style of 05, but it wasn't very realistic. At least now you have to watch your elevation and slopes on the greens. I'm still not 100% used to it yet. I think they need to tweak it a little more for 08 because the putting physics aren't quite right. If you have a ball that is 1 inch below in elevation (putting uphill), you can put the cursor one inch above the hole... which is how it should be... but then if you have a ball that is 1 inch above the elevation of the hole (putting downhill) you have to put the cursor about a foot below the hole, and that is my biggest complaint. So, if you have a ball that is 5 inches above in elevation, you have to bring your cursor back like 5 feet compared to just 5 inches if it were going uphill. It can really screw you up. Also, all those fantasy courses from 05 and 06 are gone. I kind of miss those. -------------------

It actually doesn't matter where you put the cursor when you are putting. The cursor just tells you how hard to hit if you want to hit it there. It is all just how hard you hit it, not where the cursor is.

Yeah, putting is actually quite easy. In fact, the whole game is rather easy. I only ever hired it. But I am looking forward to purchasing '08.
