WHERE DO I GET THE PICK AX

I think you get it after year 3. year one you get more land, year two is the fishing rod, year three is the pick, but there doesnt seem to be a point to it. You can get rid of all the stuff whatever it is in the sprites cave and you get money and power berries like from hoeing but it doesnt lead anywhere. Has anyone discovered something you can do do with this tool??

Well i'm on year 4 and i have a fishing rod but STILL no pickax. I guess you only get a present from Grandpa if you meet certain requirements but i don't exactly know what they are.

I met ALL the requirements, became the ranch master, and got the end credits, but I got NOTHING at all. End of year 2, btw.

I remember doing crappily on a previous play, and getting the Fishing Rod at the end of year 2...but I've never even gotten the Pick Ax, or the Umbrella.

How do you get these items, seriously? I had max cow affection, max affection, 5000+ produce, 2200+ tilled land, max cows/chickens, and 7 power berries (max you can get without those items), and NOTHING.

I'm playing on the old gameboy (not color) version, though I don't think it's any different...
