I am new to the Sims 2 and I am now getting the hang of it. I cannot wait to get sims pets
 But I dont want to do all this hard work and then find out that when I get pets, I cannot add them to my previous families and will have to start a new family to have a dog. know what i am asking? So can I add a pet to an existing family? Or not | |

yea, all you do is create them where you create families. You don't have to start a new family. For example, say that you want to add 2 dogs, well u just create them and they will be in a family box by themselves.

Yes you can add pets into existing families by either adopting from the pets adoption agency, buying them from pet store, or adopting stray pets that come around your lot.
