i used all the cheats indicated and tried it over and over. but still it doesn't work. what's wrong??

here are some helpful cheats! L L R X X UP = *when you have a home* you go out side and their is a statue. Up, Left, Down, Right, R1 = Advance time 6 hours Triangle, Circle, X, Square, L1, R1 = Give sim pet points" option on cheat gnome Triangle, up, left, down, right = $10,000 | |

it worked for me once then i got a new house layout and it didnt work anymore

...Then go to town square(be sure to be alone, don't bring your pets)Then press the buttons for the cheat gnome... Now... Search the whole town square for the cheat gnome(eventually you will find it)................
