Yeh i know i know graphics don't matter (apparently) but in some games that are suppose to be graphically intense well maybe its best leaving them to the higher power machines.

I remeber back in early 2004 buying farcry for the PC wow! blown away, as were alot of people, and still today it holds up (sort of). However i was dissapointed when i put vengeance in my Wii only to find that on the first level it crashed (nice), it stutters and slows in places where i can see alot of foliage, alot of people or basicsally at any explasion close up. On top of all this the graphics are a tad... well there not bad, but they are abit "old skool", its a new style doesn;t run or play like the orginal (the best a man can get), its more run and shoot, not much ducking for cover or jumping round a corner for a better vantage point.

So now what? Well the AI is pretty poor too, usally just standing there while i shot some guy nearly right next to them. Throwing a rock hardly works anymore, and people tend to run away from you during a fire fight to get an absolutly rubbish vantage point by standing out in the open.

The use of the Wii-mote was clever tho, lots of hacking and slashing, double guns... very nice! However ferral mode abit underplayed and nearly unusable in some places...

The levels? Not enough and not enough room for exploration, i would usually get stuck if trying to find a sneaky way round by having a bush in my way that i couldn;t walk through (are they just being lazy?). However they are insanley long in some places... which is awesome.

Guns are ok, sniper rifles are operated with style and ease.

Well now that i'v complained about spending... whatever it was that i spent on it (£40?) what do you lot think... or has everyone else stayed well away from it... (oh and also the ending for anyone whos beaten it... that sucked!)

I suppose you right.... i wouldn't call Zelda, perticulary "beautiful", however the models on it are way better then Far Cry, and the sun sets and awwww.. man running across fields on ya horse at dawn.... it just look right... abviously they had to skimp in some places such as if you ever look at the ground at how poorly its done in some places.... but i get what you mean... it just looked good...

Where as Far Cry... well... errr...yeh

Well thats fine... it is an ok game, don't get me wrong i kinda enjoyed it... but its over too fast and you'll find alot of things wrong with it... that could have easily been changed....... ...getting stuck is one thing (in tress/rocks atc).. crashes of the game and major bugs... such as when you can't kill certain people. They just stand there.... nice

Really? All I heard of before is crappy graphics and that it slows down sometimes. Still looks like I will really enjoy it though. I have a tough decision though, see Black Sabbath in what will probably be their last concert (with Dio too!), or buy Farcry...

No brainer, you can buy Farcry some other time!

Unbeleivable, looks like my grandmother forgot to give me my B-day present..... 50 USD! Now I can do both!!

I am really hoping for a close friend of mine to buy a Wii so we can play Farcry multiplayer, although my roommate wants to buy another controller if he finds one.

i don't think you can play farcry online...... not sure... but there is a mulitiplayer on the same console...

No online for Wii for a while, oh well

The worst bit of Far cry is not the graphics but the AI. Heck, they can see me through the bushes. I tried to sneak forward through the bushes but somehow they saw me.

The wii is a totally new peice of hardware, consider this the error side of trial and error, they'll get it eventually
