Hey, Im from UK and i downloaded FEAR Combat Installed it and guess what? i run it it works but servers are not showing so then i think "maybe i should get the uk patch"
Cause im from UK and i try to install patch but it say
"This Update Is Only Compatible with the English (U.K) Version of FEAR Combat Please use the correct update for the installed version of the Game" Id be happy if someone can help so the servers show.

I get the SAME problem. Only I have the US version.

I need wide screen support! Can't play correctly...

Please help

what do you mean?

I have 2 patches that are both 18.2 mb and one says "only for US" the other says "only for UK"

So you've tried using both patches and both times it comes up with the exact same error?

Are you sure you have not skipped any needed patches? Some games need every interval, some patches are clumped together.

Well it seems like the same patch - same name, same exact size...but one says for UK version and other says for US version.

It's the free downloaded FEAR COMBAT - so I have no idea what version it is.

I do know that when the game suggests an update, the autopatcher from game spy gives me the 1.07 to 1.08 patch...so I'm sure the game is 1.07...

Yeah I remember having a similar problem of downloading the wrong patch so I was just wondering if trying to install both versions of the patch came with the same error.

If you're using Gamespy, which has an autopatcher, why not let it autopatch? Sorry if that seems a silly question.

Because it doesn't work anymore.

The URL is gone, and the one that the autopatcher uses does not work if you type it into the browser manually.

You could always try using Xfire to download the right patch (I believe that's what it does.)
