Anybody else as disappointed as I am?

Fear, is great. i love hiding behind shadows and use my "Penetrator" on innocent players.
Wish they added a mic to the ps3 version.

Multiplayer is kinda like halo 2 on xbox [quick join] - only with alot less people. - It beats Socom. 100% [Mostly because of the controller's layout] but also the weapons.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by the excellent system utilized by Resistance, but F.E.A.R.'s online blows. It suffers from the same problems as the campaign (bad graphics, choppy framerate, clunky controls) and it doesn't have any ranking or matchmaking systems, no mic support, and no clan support.

I'll be trading in F.E.A.R. this Friday and getting Spiderman. What a waste of money.

I was looking to get this game and then I saw who developed it Sierra and in my opinion they are the worst game company out their all of their games they have made are a load of shit and this just confirms it!

I was looking forward to buy F.E.A.R., but after reading some bad reviews, i've decided not to...

And, IMO, Sierra's games aren't that bad...

I think Fear is pretty cool. The enemy AI is great and the graphics are great too. It is a unique type of game and that in itself makes it that much more enjoyable. Not many other FPS mix together suspense and a full out slaughterfest. Kudos to the guys at SIERRA for creating a unique gaming experience that expands the horizon of the FPS genre. If you are going to let yourself be influenced by haters, at least give it a chance and rent it. It may just expand your gaming horizons, but of course if you want to stick to the standard FPS material and run around shooting aliens that is just fine, just don't criticize developers who want to try something new.

Are we playing the same game? The graphics are atrocious. If it were a PS2 game I'd be talking about the good graphics, but I expect more from a next-gen game.

I applaud the game for trying something a bit different (the slo-mo thing is cool the first few times you use it), but the presentation, graphics, and controls are so bad that it makes anything new and good pale in comparison to all the bad things.

okay, I do admit the graphics are not as great as i would of hoped. Like you said they should be alot better for a next gen game. Anyways I wrote that after midnight (so says the forum post time, not) I don't even actually remember writing that. I hope they revamp the graphics for no. 2 when it gets ported to PS3.

I think the controlls are great. yes the graphics are a bit too PS2 but today i log on, and there are no rooms. the game is already DEAD.

If the only thought of the mic, that would have been great.


I actualy got the demo for PC and talk about ugly. you cant run like on PS3. and the mouse is not even supported. maybe its just in the demo. but aren't demo's supposed to be a little better then the actual game? - to make a sale.
