I'm an old Robotech fan, and ran out to buy a Playstation for the sole purpose of playing this game. However, I am finding out that I stink.

I am having difficulty getting past the mission in which you have to protect the SDF-1. It's the 2nd mission, I think. The pin-point barrier systems is up, I fly around shooting down the enemy, I destroy the cannons on the enemy ship....but I never manage to save the SDF-1. The barrier overloads and I fail the mission.

Is there something specific I am supposed to do?

I cant beat this level either. What am I supposed to do?

You just have to destroy all the enemy pods faster. If you take too long the barrier systems will overload and you'll fail the mission. Once you take out all the enemy units, a female ace in power armor will arrive. Defeat her and you'll beat the mission.

Yeah I beat it. And beat Kiyora.
