Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

.. how many hours will you waste just to get to max level? i can't imagine me doing that?

in fact, i just want to know how much exp you'd need to get to lv 9999.. hohoho...

i think that's why Disgaea has a high rating of game replayability. THIS GAME'S GOOD!!

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

It varies from character to character, and depends on whether you have staticians, as well as where you go to level up, and whether Stronger Enemies Bills have been passed...

The quickest way, once you have enough power, would be Etna Mode's Cave of Ordeals 3, which has the enemies around 3x the level you find them in normal mode. I THINK it would take a couple of hours or so, if you do it nonstop, possibly (probably?) less.

Because I'm THAT nice (XD), I booted up my PSP to tell you the EXP needed (I have 2 characters level 9999)...

My Divine Majin has (at level 9999):

76,227,578,270 - That's over 76 Billion EXP XD

Other classes probably require a bit less/more

Ah, I have a level 9999 Surt (Dragon):

91,473,095,124 - That's around 91.5 Billion XD More than the majin, which is a bit surprising. That would mean it would take longer to level, assuming they could kill the exact same enemies at the same speed.

I have a Galactic Demon (Talos) that has close to what the Majin needed, 76 Billion or so.

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

The first level of Celestia, and when you go through the item world, are the best places to level up for you now. When you get a bit stronger, try passing Cave of Ordeals bill by force.

The Cave of Ordeals 3 area requires a decent amount of attack, since they're Galactic Demons, with high defense.

Combo attacks (ending with your strongest Area of Effect attack, namely winged slayer sword skill) are pretty much a must for newbies.

Not sure, really, how many hours were spent on that. Not as many as you probably think. Etna mode helps tremendously in that regard. You just need to be strong enough to take advantage of it.

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

oh... i'm in my 2nd round now ( i finished both etna and laharl modes once )... and i started again in laharl mode..

how i wish that (my second) laharl mode have levelled -up enemies like etna mode. they freak me out when i saw that thier levels are low ( and by that i meant lv 1 )

i'm currently busy in CoO3 w/ 3 stronger enemy bills. And FINALLY!! i have my own majin... damn that took long enough. ...

i have a question though...
is it ok if i trans my:

lv 214 scout to omega majin
lv 235 fighter to majin
lv 412 ronin to shogun
lv 445 ninja to shinobi
lv 217 cleric to savior
lv 376 rogue to space pirate
lv 377 angel to paladin
and lv 638 laharl to lv 1?

*i'm so happy ^^

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

So long as you don't mind losing special abilities, go ahead for them...

Don't do them all at once though....Otherwise you'll find yourself taking a while to get back to CoO fighting form.

I WOULD suggest you wait until you have some good, leveled, equips. Doing so would make leveling much easier, as weapons and Weapon Skill level (goes up to 255), affect stats moreso than levels do...

If you don't care about looks, I'd suggest that once you have all the skills you want a character to have, that you transmigrate them to Majin....High stats, S rank for all weapons, and high stat aptitudes across the board make them ideal for pretty much anything. Exception taken for focused classes, unless you don't mind potentially losing a small amount of ability in exchange for a much better overall character.

Like Magic users, I think, have their INT go above 120% on the highest tier, but they also have crappy everything else (except for res, I think). Majins are just plain ideal for just about any humanoid class of character though.

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

well... i'd consider your suggestion.. but i've been thinking..

just for aesthetic reasons, i'd make a party of:
laharl ( axe type ) or divine majin ( axe type )
etna ( spear type )
2 space pirates ( guns )
2 divine majins ( one using sword and the other an axe )
1 savior
2 paladins ( one using spear and the other bow ).

IMO, a party of super-duper-uber-devastatingly-godly-strong DIVINE MAJINS (what?!) are some kind of boring... ,unless their levels are about/below 200 and trying to beat baal (!!), cause there's no more challenge, and possibly no more excitement. So i think making this party would give a little bit of twist in my (story) game.
hohohoho... what do you think?

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

Sure, if you're willing to put in a lot of time to actually make that many people decently strong....Not practical though. And just go with one space pirate (high tier thief)....They're rather mediocre as offensive class, and only good for stealing. If you want a strong gun user, go with Divine Majin, or EDF soldier (unlocked with a combined GUN skill of 30, I think).

Me? I just focused on making 2 characters strong.

TBH, Etna is a fine spear user with some unique attacks, but aside from that, mediocre in the post game (not as good as laharl even).

I <3 Etna as a character (looks and personality) but I rarely use her much.....

It is all about your personal style, I CBA to devote another 50 to 100+ hours making even more characters strong, my two strongest were plenty strong enough to take on Prinny Baal by themselves. When I first fought Baal with my team (level 4000 baal), I was disappointed somewhat, since I beat him in 2 or 3 turns....And level 8000 Baal was similarly weak, I beat him in an extra turn.

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

so, the trick is to focus on 1 or 2 characters at a time, to have them get their full potential ( wow, that was wierd of me to say that... ).

so i've changed my mind, i'll make an uber strong space pirate made from divine majins! isn't that right? when the d. majins trans again and again until they have 185k total levels, they'll have overbuffed base stats right? then i'll just have to trans it again into a space pirate. am i correct?

BTW, this is my registered account.

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

Meh, even if you actually store that many levels, the crappy stat aptitudes will hurt you a bit. You may be able to max out the stat you want (gun or whatever), but it'll still be weaker than some other classes.

With thieves, just make one decent one, and give it good equips to help it level. Stop at level 5150 or so, and don't transmigrate again. In fact, a powerful sword is ideal for leveling a thief fast enough, once they have Winged slayer they'll level much faster.

BTW: Only Swords, Fists, and Offensive Magic are any good for quick leveling. Each of those has a 3x3 grid attack, which is convenient for Cave of Ordeals 3, nearly all other skills in the game can't do that (there may be one or two special character specific skills)...With other skills, you'll either need two turns (not even accounting for time wasted throwing enemies back on the EXP+50% grid), or a second character to finish them off....Either way, you won't gain EXP as fast as a 3x3 area attacker that can just come in, wipe the floor with the enemies, and rinse and repeat...

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

yeah... well, i kinda figured that out after trying all the skills possible which was the fastest to grind....

and it's obviuosly winged slayer or a 3x3 grid offensive spell..

so i trans my thief to a majin , gained a few levels of sword mastery then transmigrated again as a space pirate...
and yeah, i won't trans him again, i tried to steal nemesis from rozalin(?) she was about lv 2500 ( yes, w/ SEB passed ) and my thief was lv 1500++ it, was kinda dumb, but i couldn't defeat them. she's like doing 100k+ damage to my units. so i've decided to grind in etna mode.
  • is it considered ok to trans my units until their lv 2000?

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

"Until they're level 2000"? Not sure what you mean by that? You mean Transmigrate AT level 2000? That works, yes. Also, it is at specific number of stored levels that you see extra bonus points (number always ends in Zero at least), you'd need to look up a guide to know the optimal level to transmigrate someone at, to get that one extra bonus point without adding extra time where it doesn't count (won't count unless you combine more levels with it, at a later transmigration).

I'm sure you know this, but ALWAYS transmigrate at Genius level....

Don't go crazy transmigrating either, since you do lose some skill and weapon level EXP, which can hurt if you go crazy transmigrating all the time. For example, when transmigrating someone with a 255 sword mastery, I think they lose about 15 levels. Each sword mastery level adds 5% to your weapon stats (so 255 sword mastery, as I said, is pretty awesome for boosting stats, much moreso than levels do).

Meh, don't fight Rozalin and Adel until you have at least one very strong character who can take and dish out damage. Also, there was an enemy in Demonhall mirror that carried an Apocalypse weapon, which was a rank 40 Axe weapon, the only way to get it aside from the regular method of going through the item world of a rank 39 axe and stealing it from the item god. I think you might have missed it, though.

Lastly, the only other weapon skill (aside from Winged Slayer, and the 3x3 magical attack skill) that can hit a 3x3 grid, is the Big Bang attack from a Fist, which is the level 20 (highest level) fist skill.

About the spoiler, I don't remember seeing that happen, but yeah, most of us know about the two being the same person.

re: Does anyone here reached lvl 9999?

hohohho... ooooh i've got to find that out..

yeah, i've read about the " always transmigrate at genius level.." thing. And it was kinda funny i looked up the stats of the angel in demonhall mirror, and i thought it was just another mediocre legendary axe or something, then i later found out that it was a LEGENDARY RANK 40 AXE... and i was so disappointed back then, hahahaha!!! so there, i missed it in my first journey through there, i thought i can repeat that battle, but it was too late.... i saved the game.. but now, i have 2 of them, i got through my 3rd and 4th cycle... of which i saw 2 different endings..

i'm grinding at ECoO3. at max SEBs.. oh how great it was to level up many times at once..
i'm sorry, it's just it was so fun to slaughter high level enemies with ease... BTW, i got my very first yoshi. i didn't know it was
