Well the update for Cagney Software will launch on 09:00am UK time on Thursday 10th July '08. And its going to be one great update. One big one featuring Custom soundtracks for PS3, and many many more. Check the source for the full list. Get your burn on Paradise fans, its looking to be one speedy adventure in the summer.

Other high-priority fixes and updates

• If you're in a 3 or more player challenge and a player drops out, the remaining players can still complete it (subject to it being a challenge that can handle this!)

• "Previously" section on the search games list now displays Challenges, Today's Best and Freeburn game modes, making it loads easier to decide which game you want to join

• You can now view Leaderboards and Options in an online game

• You can now mute other online players in the show players screen

• You can now mute yourself if you have a PS3 Eye/Eye toy

• We've increased time-out for online races, and if all players complete the races within the timer, then you go straight to results

• The Airfield has been changed to help with the drivability of the area and make it a little easier to complete the hoop challenges

• Online cars now show damage - roll up to the start in a half-destroyed Hunter Cavalry and everyone else will see it!

Yes it is in August 2008. The Davis update will be released that time. Than in Fall 2008, the Eastwood update will arrive. It is yet to be known what Davis & Eastwood would exactly offer.

Nice videos. Now with Firmware 2.40 released, that can set the stage for some of the features the Cagney update will reveal.

This might be the wrong thread, but I went to go on this game earlier and the PS3 told me I needed an update... and I can't figure out what has changed! Was it any of the stuff in the first post of this thread?

Before today when was the last time you played burnout as i dont think the new update is out until thursday/10th july

^ ahh well Ive been online a few times in the last couple of weeks and there been no update that i remember maybe it it was an oldish update and as you say you haven't been on the game for a while (month ) soo maybe that's why you didn't have the update , as I'm aware off the cagney update is out tomorrow morning about 9am Uk time
