I have a question about this, on the back of the KOTOR XBOX case it shows a small picture of Bastilla standing on the Unknown Planet with a giant Rancor monster walking around behind her??? When I played the game and beat it on the Dark Side I newver saw or seen that area and cinematic of the game, I never had to bypass the Rancor on that planet or fight it and I never saw one??? Was I supposed to see one, the only one I saw was on Taris, so what is going on here???

I know what you mean. Though on my box its Zaalbar standing behind the Rancor.

Also on the official website it has a screenshot of Jedis (on your team) fighting the Rancor, and the scene is at the One's arena.

It was probably a side quest or something like that. But it is fun to fight!

Maybe thats what it is then, some sort of sidequest, but I'm just not that sure, maybe theres a secret way in the game, like an alternate path that you can take to get there, who knows, we should keep this thread rolling if knowbody knows much about it...

I think the back of the box is kinda not acurate all over cause there is also a picture of you with a lightsaber with HK-47 in the taris apartment complex.

Also even in the intro to the game there are one or two things wierd (I don't wanna say them cause it might be a spolier, but if you look at you'll probably see what I'm talking about).

But anyway, back to what you were saying, I think they just liked the picture so they stuck it on the box, thats my theory.

maybe after after you come outta the temple the rakatans want you to do something else. we all know that both have their own individual sidequests, maybe there are more.

probably from the beta version, there are a lot of things wrong. there is no side quest for that

wait i know what it is now. if you het bastilla to join you on the unkown world then that can happen. but for that to happen you need to be on the darkside.

I think they just took them from earlier versions . . . I had a demo from OXM and when you watch it there are several differences . . . just something they changed or took out or somethignthe true star wars nerds said "Hey you can't do that!"

I played through as a dark side jedi and I had to fight all kinds of rancor monsters on the unknown planet. None of them were full grown, they were all adolescents, but in one battle alone there was 4 of them (when dealing with The One). There were also several outside the temple.

Ok, first of all I forgot to mention that it really is Zaalbarr outside on the Unknown planet infront af a giant Rancor Monster, I played the game on the Dark Side all of the way through and I have completed every side quest there is and I still couldn't find any way to getting to that part of the game... I also saw as one of you guys said earlier that HK-47 is on the back of the game box fighting by your side in the Taris Apartment Conplex and on top of that you are a Jedi... I also thought that I saw on the Net somewhere that you and the gang were fighting a huge Rancor or two on Tatooine, I saw that one a while back when they first started to show the game publicly... So guys, what are these strange phenominons??? Could there be someway in the game that you can get to these areas of mystery, or is it a side quest that is hard to find, my guess is that it is Downloadable Content from LIVE and maybe they are all just side quests and mini-games that you can download later on to have a little more fun, who knows, I would really appreciate it if this Thread stays open for a long while though since no one else understands it either, maybe someone will come along with the answer, we will find out, please tell me more information that you find out about these or just anything would help...

Ok, I just went to Bioware's site for KOTOR and found out some good and shokiking news..........There is a way to go back to Taris and fight there as a Jedi with all of the companions in the game, there is a way to fight giant Rancors on numerous different planets, there are other secrets and side-quests in the game but I really don't understand how you get them all, the people on the Boards said that you have to complete so many quests in certain orders as well, I really don't know what side that you have to be on but they said that the way to get to these things is by getting the Galaxy Droid, I have no idea where or what it is but I sure would like to know what the hell is going on and if there are any ways that I can do these things, any help would be appreciated!!!

Its obvious it was the demo version.

And what you just said could be right. but whos going to do any quest in a certain order. It logically doesnt make sense seeing as how the planet of Taris was destroyed.

this is funny, ok so one you have all of the star maps activated you go to a secret planet, and you have to go to a base of the funny looking guys, and ish like that, and there are a bunch of the rancors.
