it must be kept in mind that if you get behind it then the d-star is *bleep*ed as for max firepower, but the forge could still blast the hell out of the imperial fleet no matter the angle

re: Death Star V.S. Star Forge.

In my opinion,

The Star Forge is obviously more of a factory, than a weapon, which is the exact opposite of the Death Star, which is more of a weapon than a factory,

This is similar to a lighter versus a paper airplane (sorry whoever posted this earlier, I'm stealing it from you =P)

the Star Forge would attempt to make as many ships as possible before its inevitable fate of being completely destroyed by the Death Star and its fighters and st00f.

In a completely DIFFERENT situation, where neither the Death Star, or Star Forge have any sort of shielding whatsoever, and the Death Star DOESN'T have its Coaxial super laser, (a completely improbable situation, but just for the sake of making an example), then in my opinion, the Star Forge would have a distinct advantage, not having to worry about the amount of lives available to spare, or clones to create, seeing as it can have a near-infinite supply of troops and weapons.
Not saying it would "Definitely Win" but it does have that advantage over the near-powerless Star

re: Death Star V.S. Star Forge.

the starforge was totally better than the death star, the starforge didn't just make ships, it also had weapons, guns, lasers, and a disrupter field, it could totally crush the death star

re: Death Star V.S. Star Forge.

No it couldn't. If the Death Star knew the location of the Star Forge it would immediately charge up its lasers and blast the Star Forge into oblivion. The primitive guns of the Star Forge wouldn't event make a dent in the Death Star's Durasteel let alone destroy it. Bottom Line is, if the Star Forge wasn't upgraded defending it successfully would be utterly futile.

the star forge able to make its own fleet and and all also it could probably make a planet destroyer for it self in due time.. and yes the death star does have hyperspace also big engines around the exterior that compared to the death star are tiny craters.. also i believe the star forge also has its same ability since it was after all built on rakata home world or aka first sith know to believed

re: Death Star V.S. Star Forge.

all i know this is mostly of a situation of who more prepared to kill the other, so pretty much it's 1 sided for the person who isn't expecting and the person who was prepared enough to attack, but there are some flaws that can make it backfire, like the Death Star is slow as heck but the the star forge can't move at all, but the star forge has a fleet of ships 15 times larger than the the fleet the death star has, so it mostly comes down to advantages and disadvantages each one has and mostly down to pure luck

re: Death Star V.S. Star Forge.

We must keep in mind the tech differences here people, theres about afew thousands years differences between the two armies. When you think about it its like 100 cave-men with rocks and sling-shots VS a squad of U.S. Marines armed with dragon skin and M4 rifles/grenades/ and various other toys.just think about whats better gentelmen, a highly advanced and well trained/equipped battalion, or a large primitive force.

Well, it worked out pretty well for the Soviet Union against the Germans. But seriously just no. Not unless the modern technology was emulated.

re: Death Star V.S. Star Forge.

well if we put technology into the question, then i think it's still an even match, because the ratatan were WAY ahead on technology when they took over the old republic, and for some reason about a thousand years into the future, they still can't travel faster than parsec, while the ratatans could use the force to go faster than that, like the kessel run and how fast han solo did it, those guys could go like 3 times faster and maybe, got the spice to jabba the hutt in time:D

Wouldn't the death star's computers get fried as soon as it entered the system via the disrupter field?

It was impervious to nearly all sorts of disrupter fields, so pretty much, all the ships would fail, but the Death Star would keep floating

How? It doesn't have shields for it, and nobody would protect themselves against stuff that old.

re: Death Star V.S. Star Forge.

The Death Star has MILES of Durasteel plating, that could at least do something against a Disrupter Field, and you see in episode 4 how it could be only be destroyed was aiming for that 2 meter exhaust port someone forgot to close off halfway through the death star so it would explode

re: Death Star V.S. Star Forge.

The Ebon Hawk was made of durasteel, and look how that did for it. The disruptor field works like an EMP, so no matter how huch armor you have, it's still gonna screw up your pacemaker.
